5. Maintenance
5.1 Cleaning the Fan
Regular cleaning helps maintain optimal performance and extends the fan's lifespan.
- Power Off and Unplug: Always ensure the fan is turned off and unplugged from the power source before cleaning.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the fan with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Grille and Blades: Use a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment or a soft brush to remove dust from the front and rear grilles and fan blades. If the grilles are removable, carefully detach them for a more thorough cleaning of the blades. Ensure they are securely reattached before use.
- Drying: Allow all parts to dry completely before reconnecting to power or operating.
5.2 Battery Care
- Regular Charging: For optimal battery life, avoid completely draining the battery frequently. Recharge the fan when the battery indicator shows low power.
- Storage: If storing the fan for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50-70% and store in a cool, dry place. Recharge every 3-6 months to prevent deep discharge.
- Avoid Overcharging: While modern batteries have protection, it's good practice to disconnect the charger once the battery is full, especially for long-term health.
