5. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your DeerRun Walking Pad.
5.1 Lubrication
The running belt requires periodic lubrication to maintain smooth operation and reduce friction. A dedicated oil drip hole is located on the upper right corner of the treadmill for this purpose.
- It is recommended to lubricate the running belt once a month, or after every 30 hours of use.
- Turn off and unplug the treadmill before applying lubricant.
- Lift the edge of the running belt and apply a small amount of the provided silicone lubricant to the center of the deck, underneath the belt.
- Plug in the treadmill and run it at a low speed (e.g., 1 MPH) for 5 minutes to distribute the lubricant evenly.
5.2 Belt Adjustment
If the running belt shifts to one side or feels loose, it may need adjustment. Use the provided hex wrench.
- If the belt drifts to the right, turn the right adjustment bolt clockwise a quarter turn.
- If the belt drifts to the left, turn the left adjustment bolt clockwise a quarter turn.
- Run the treadmill at a low speed for a few minutes and observe the belt. Repeat adjustments as necessary until the belt is centered.
- If the belt feels too loose (slipping), turn both adjustment bolts clockwise by a quarter turn simultaneously to increase tension.
5.3 Cleaning
- Regularly wipe down the treadmill surface with a damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Keep the area around the motor clean and free of dust to ensure proper ventilation.
5.4 Storage
The DeerRun Walking Pad is designed for easy storage due to its compact size and built-in wheels.
- Turn off and unplug the treadmill.
- Lift the front end of the treadmill to engage the transport wheels.
- Roll the treadmill to your desired storage location, such as under a desk, bed, or sofa.
