Step 1: Install the Latch and Strike Plate

Insert the latch into the door edge. Confirm the backset (60mm or 70mm) and adjust the latch length if necessary. Secure the latch with screws. Install the strike plate on the door frame, ensuring the hole is drilled a minimum of 1" (25mm) deep.

Step 2: Install the Keypad Digital Deadbolt

Keep the torque blade horizontally. Align it with the hole on the latch and route the cable below the latch. Install the mounting plate, ensuring the thumb turn is in a vertical position. Insert the cable connector to the socket on the interior assembly, pushing firmly until fully attached. Align the horizontal axle with the hole in the latch and install the interior assembly screws. Load 3 AA batteries, press and hold the Reset button using the reset tool, then load the 4th battery and keep the Reset button pressed for 3 seconds. The latch will extend automatically to learn the door's orientation.

Step 3: Install Front and Rear Lever Handles

If your door is left-handed, you may need to exchange the front and rear levers. To disassemble, rotate the lever and find the joint point, press it with the Hand Tool, then pull out the lever. Exchange the levers and align the hole with the inside joint point, pressing the lever back until you hear a mild "Ding" sound. Install the levers onto the door, ensuring the base of the spindle is rotated to align horizontally with the hole.
