1. Introduction

This manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Locstar LS-8015 Smart Keyless Door Lock. 2. Safety Information

• Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the lock yourself. Contact customer support for assistance.
• Use only specified batteries (4 AA alkaline batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries or different types of batteries.
• Keep mechanical keys in a safe and accessible location outside the property.
• Avoid exposing the lock to extreme temperatures or direct water immersion. The lock has an IP54 waterproof rating, protecting against splashes, but not submersion.
• Regularly check battery levels and replace batteries promptly when the low battery indicator appears.

4. Installation Guide

Installation typically takes about 15 minutes with a Phillips screwdriver. No professional locksmith is required.

4.1 Door Handing Confirmation

The LS-8015 model is available for both left-handle and right-handle doors. Ensure you have the correct version for your door. The current product is a Left-Handle LS-8015.

4.2 Preparation and Drilling

1. Use the provided opening template to mark positions on the door frame for drilling.
2. Drill holes according to the marked positions.
3. Install the lock mortise. The size can be adjusted to 60mm or 70mm.

4.3 Lock Assembly

7. Thread the cable through the back panel of the door.
8. Secure the back panel of the door with screws.
9. Connect the wire.
10. Install four AA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment.
11. Press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds to reset the door lock to its original settings. (Press 0# for default unlocking).
12. Cover the back panel and tighten the screws to complete the installation.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Debugging and Testing

• After installation, press down the front handle to confirm it is in the free state. The handle should move freely without engaging the latch.
• Enter the initial password (if applicable, refer to the reset section or default settings) on the front panel. After successful entry, press down the handle to open the door normally.

5.2 Mechanical Key Override

In case of battery depletion or electronic malfunction, the lock can be opened using the mechanical key.

1. Locate the button on the front handle cover. Press this button to reveal the keyhole.
2. Insert the mechanical key into the keyhole and turn it to unlock.
3. Press down the handle to open the door normally.

5.3 Setting the Master Password

The master password is used to enter the setting mode for managing user passwords and other lock functions.

1. Enter # + 123456 + # to enter the setting mode. (123456 is the default master password).
2. Enter 11# and then the new master password followed by #.
3. Enter the new master password followed by # again for confirmation.

5.4 Adding a Password User

You can add up to 50 different user codes.

1. Enter the new master password followed by # to enter the setting mode.
2. Enter 01 + # to confirm, and then enter a user number (001-299) followed by # to confirm.
3. Enter the desired user password followed by # to confirm.
4. For temporary passwords, enter the start time followed by # to confirm, and the end time followed by # + # to confirm.

5.5 Password Door Opening Operation

1. Enter the user password followed by # to confirm.
2. Press the handle to open the door. A successful password entry will allow the handle to engage the latch.

6.1 Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by 4 AA batteries, which can last up to 1 year under normal conditions. A low battery indicator will remind you to replace them.

• When the low battery indicator activates, replace all four AA alkaline batteries promptly.
• Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.

6.2 Cleaning

To maintain the appearance and functionality of your lock:

• Wipe the lock surface with a soft, damp cloth.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners, solvents, or chemical sprays, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
