The ROBOOTER® X40 is an intelligent electric powered wheelchair device designed to provide enhanced mobility and independence. 2. Safety Information

Your safety is paramount. Please read and understand all safety instructions before operating the ROBOOTER® X40.

  • Automatic Electric Brake: The wheelchair is equipped with an auto-electric brake that instantly stops the device upon release of the joystick. This feature ensures safety whether going uphill, downhill, or in case of a power outage, preventing unintended movement.
  • Speed Modes: The X40 has five forward speeds and a reverse function. A dedicated novice mode is available for first-time users to ensure a safe learning experience.
  • Gyro Sensor: The wheelchair automatically slows down during drastic changes in direction, thanks to its integrated gyro sensor, enhancing stability and preventing accidents.
  • Anti-Rollover Wheels: Anti-rollover back wheels are included to provide additional stability and prevent tipping.
  • Safety Belt: The chair comes with a longer seatbelt for secure seating.

3.2 Components

The ROBOOTER X40 consists of the main chair unit, a joystick controller, and a lithium-ion battery. Additional accessories may be available separately.

4. Setup

The ROBOOTER X40 is designed for installation-free setup. It comes fully assembled and ready to use after unboxing.

4.1 Unboxing

The product is packaged with multiple protective layers. Upon receiving, carefully open the outer cardboard box. The scooter is protected by a honeycomb box and a thick foam box. Ensure to retrieve the charger and tools from the accessory box located within the foam packaging before removing the main unit.

4.2 Initial Power-On and Folding/Unfolding

The ROBOOTER X40 features automatic folding and unfolding. To power on, press and hold the power button on the joystick for 3-4 seconds. The chair can be folded or unfolded using the joystick controller or via the Robooter app.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Joystick Control

The X40 features an enlarged and flexible 360-degree maneuverable joystick. Releasing the joystick activates the auto-electric brake, ensuring immediate stopping.

5.2 App Control

Connect your smartphone to the ROBOOTER X40 via Bluetooth using the Robooter app. The app allows for remote driving, one-tap fold & expand, mileage tracking, battery display, mode switching, and other custom features.

5.3 Driving and Maneuverability

The X40 combines powerful dual motors and revolutionary turning technology, allowing for 360° rotation in place. With 10" rear drive wheels, it achieves a new top speed of 3.7 mph. Its turning radius is just 29.9", making it easy to navigate tight turns indoors and in crowded spaces. The omni-directional front wheels and off-road tires allow it to pass over obstacles up to 2.4" high and ditches up to 3.9" wide.

6. Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your ROBOOTER X40.

  • Battery Care: The 10A lithium-ion battery pack is airline compliant. A free high-capacity backup battery (20A) can be requested to extend range up to 15.5 miles. The off-board charge cord allows charging batteries without the chair.
  • Cleaning: Keep the chair clean and free from debris. Use a soft, damp cloth for cleaning surfaces.
  • Tire Pressure: Ensure the 10-inch off-road tires are maintained at the recommended pressure (35 psi).
  • Storage: When not in use, store the folded wheelchair in a dry, protected area. A dust cover is available for protection.

  • Voice Guidance/Alarms: If voice prompts or alarms are not functioning, check the settings within the Robooter app under "Voice Settings".
