4. Setup

4.1 Battery Installation

Your Blukar flashlight comes with a rechargeable lithium polymer battery and an option to use 3 AAA batteries. Ensure correct polarity when inserting batteries.

1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight.
2. For Rechargeable Battery: Insert the included rechargeable battery with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
3. For AAA Batteries: Place 3 AAA batteries into the provided battery holder, ensuring correct polarity. Insert the battery holder into the flashlight with the positive (+) end facing towards the flashlight head.
4. Screw the tail cap back on securely.

4.2 Charging the Rechargeable Battery

The flashlight features a built-in USB-C charging port. The 4-LED indicators will show charging progress.

1. Locate the USB-C charging port on the flashlight body. It is usually covered by a rubber flap for protection.
2. Open the rubber flap.
3. Connect the provided USB-C charging cable to the flashlight's port.
4. Connect the other end of the USB-C cable to a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, power bank, computer USB port).
5. The 4 LED indicators will light up progressively to show the charging status:
   • 1 LED: 0-25% charged
   • 2 LEDs: 25-50% charged
   • 3 LEDs: 50-75% charged
   • 4 LEDs: 75-100% charged (fully charged)
6. Once fully charged, disconnect the charging cable and close the rubber flap to protect the port.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

• To turn the flashlight ON, press the power button located on the side of the flashlight.
• To turn the flashlight OFF, long press the power button for 3 seconds in any mode. The flashlight also has a memory function; if you turn it off and then on again, it will return to the last used lighting mode.

5.2 Changing Lighting Modes

The flashlight features 5 distinct lighting modes:

1. With the flashlight ON, short press the power button to cycle through the modes in the following order:
   • High Brightness
   • Medium Brightness
   • Low Brightness
   • Strobe (flashing light)
   • SOS (Morse code signal)
2. After SOS mode, the next short press will cycle back to High Brightness.

5.3 Zoom Function

The flashlight features a zoomable head to adjust the beam focus.

• To achieve a narrow, focused beam for long-distance illumination, gently pull the flashlight head outwards.
• To achieve a wide, floodlight beam for large area illumination, gently push the flashlight head inwards.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the flashlight body with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Waterproof Care: Although IP67 rated, ensure the USB-C port's rubber flap is securely closed when not charging, especially in wet conditions. Avoid prolonged submersion beyond specified limits.
• Battery Care:
  • For optimal battery life, charge the rechargeable battery regularly and avoid complete discharge.
  • If storing the flashlight for an extended period, remove all batteries to prevent leakage and damage.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place.
• Lubrication: Periodically apply a thin layer of silicone grease to the O-rings (spare O-rings are included) to maintain waterproof integrity and smooth operation of threaded parts.
