1. Introduction

This user manual provides comprehensive instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your BULIST UD01 Keypad Door Lock. Please read this manual thoroughly before installation and use to ensure proper function and safety. The UD01 offers secure keyless entry with user codes, one-time guest codes, a backlit keypad, and human voice prompts for enhanced convenience and security.

2. Safety Information

WARNING: Failure to follow these instructions could result in damage to the product, property damage, or personal injury.

• Do not attempt to disassemble or modify the lock. This may cause damage and void the warranty.
• Use only the specified battery type (4 AA alkaline batteries). Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
• Keep all components out of reach of children.
• Protect the keypad from excessive moisture or direct water exposure. While the lock has IP54 waterproofing, prolonged exposure can cause damage.
• Avoid using abrasive cleaners or chemicals on the lock's surface.

3. Product Overview and Components

The BULIST UD01 Keypad Door Lock consists of an exterior keypad assembly, an interior assembly, a latch mechanism, and mounting hardware. Familiarize yourself with all components before beginning installation.

4. Installation

Follow these steps carefully for a successful installation. A screwdriver is typically the only tool required.

4.1 Prepare the Door

• Ensure your door thickness is between 1-3/8" and 2-3/4" (35mm-70mm).
• Verify the backset (distance from door edge to center of bore hole) is either 2-3/8" (60mm) or 2-3/4" (70mm).

4.2 Install the Latch

Adjust the latch length if necessary to match your door's backset. Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws.

5. Operating Instructions

The BULIST UD01 offers multiple convenient ways to operate your lock.

5.1 Adding User Codes

You can program up to 50 permanent user codes and 10 one-time guest codes. To add a user code, enter the setting mode by pressing the unlock button for 2 seconds, then follow the voice prompts.

The keypad allows for easy entry using programmed PIN codes, supporting up to 50 user codes and 10 one-time guest codes. All codes can be cleared at once if needed.

5.2 Anti-Peeping Passcode

To enhance security, you can add random digits before or after your actual PIN code. The lock will still recognize your correct code within the sequence.

This feature allows you to enter random digits before or after your actual PIN code, preventing others from easily guessing your code by observing your hand movements.

5.3 Human Voice Prompts

The UD01 features human voice prompts for various operations, including lock status, low battery reminders, and error warnings. The volume can be adjusted from 1 to 5 levels.

5.4 Auto-Lock Function

The auto-lock feature can be enabled or disabled, and its delay time can be set between 10 to 99 seconds. This provides added peace of mind, ensuring your door is always secured.

The lock can be configured to auto-lock after a delay of 10 to 99 seconds. Alternatively, a quick one-second press on the keypad's lock button can instantly secure the door.

6. Maintenance

6.1 Battery Replacement

The lock is powered by 4 AA alkaline batteries. When the battery is low, the voice prompt will indicate "Low battery, please replace the battery." Replace all four batteries simultaneously for optimal performance. The lock is designed for long battery life, up to 1 year under normal use.

The lock features a long battery life of up to one year and provides a voice reminder when the battery level is low, indicating it's time for replacement.

6.2 Cleaning

Clean the lock's surface with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish.

7. Troubleshooting

• Lock not responding: Check battery levels. Replace batteries if low. Ensure cables are securely connected inside the interior assembly.
• Codes not working: Re-enter the setting mode and reprogram user codes. Ensure you are pressing the unlock button after entering the code.
• Voice prompts unclear or too loud/quiet: Adjust the volume level in the function settings (refer to Section 5.3).
• Auto-lock not functioning: Verify the auto-lock feature is enabled and the delay time is set correctly in the function settings.
• Difficulty with installation: Refer to the detailed installation video (Section 4.2) and the provided installation manual. Ensure all measurements (door thickness, backset) are correct.
