4. Setup

4.1 Unpacking and Placement

  1. Carefully remove the safe from its packaging.
  2. The safe is equipped with removable wheels for easier transportation upon delivery. Once the safe is in its desired location, remove these wheels to enhance stability and security. These wheels are part of the packaging materials and are not covered under warranty.
  3. Place the safe on a flat, stable surface.

4.2 Battery Installation

The digital keypad requires batteries (not included). Locate the battery compartment, typically on the inside of the door or behind the keypad, and insert the required batteries (usually AA or AAA, refer to the specific instructions in the included user manual for type and quantity).

4.3 Wall Mounting

For maximum security, it is highly recommended to secure the safe to a wall.

  1. Choose a suitable location on a solid wall.
  2. Mark the drilling points through the pre-drilled holes at the back of the safe.
  3. Drill holes into the wall using an appropriate drill bit.
  4. Align the safe with the drilled holes and insert the expansion screws.
  5. Tighten the screws securely to anchor the safe to the wall.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Initial Opening

Your safe can be opened using two primary methods:

  • Dual Key Unlocking: Insert both the blue master key and the emergency key into their respective locks. Turn both keys simultaneously to open the safe.
  • Master Key + Password Unlocking: Insert the blue master key into its lock. Enter the factory default password (refer to the specific instructions in the included user manual for the default code) on the digital keypad, then turn the master key to open the safe.

Note: The master key is always required to open the safe, even when using a digital password. This design provides an additional layer of security.

5.2 Setting/Changing Passcode

Refer to the specific instructions in the included user manual for detailed steps on how to program your personal 1-8 digit passcode. It is recommended to change the default password immediately after initial setup.

5.3 Hidden Code Feature

To activate the secure display feature, which prevents your entered code from being shown on the screen, dial "*" before entering your passcode.

5.4 Anti-Theft Alarm System

The safe is equipped with an anti-theft alarm system that activates under specific conditions:

  • Vibration: A violent vibration detected by the safe will trigger the alarm.
  • Incorrect Entries: Three consecutive incorrect passcode entries will activate the alarm.

When triggered, the alarm will sound for 60 seconds. The safe can store up to 35 opening records.

  • Clean the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the locking bolts and hinges are free from obstructions.

7. Troubleshooting

  • Check Batteries: If using the digital keypad, ensure batteries are correctly installed and have sufficient power. Use the emergency battery box if the internal batteries are depleted.
  • Correct Passcode: Verify that the correct passcode is being entered.
  • Master Key: Ensure the master key is fully inserted and turned correctly. Remember, the master key is always required.
  • Emergency Key: If the digital system fails, use the emergency key in conjunction with the master key.

7.2 Alarm Activates Unexpectedly

  • Vibration: Check if the safe has been subjected to any significant impact or movement.
  • Incorrect Entries: Ensure no one has attempted to open the safe with incorrect passcodes.

7.3 Keypad Unresponsive

  • Battery Check: Replace batteries if the keypad is unresponsive.
