Setup

1. Initial Charging

Before first use, connect the keyboard to a USB power source using the provided USB-A to USB-C cable. The keyboard features a built-in rechargeable lithium battery. The Cherry icon on the top right corner indicates battery status: green for full, yellow for medium, and red for low.

2. Connectivity Options

The keyboard offers four transmission channels for multi-device functionality:

To switch between channels, press the FN key simultaneously with the corresponding function key (F1, F2, F3, or F4). The status keys (F1-F4) will illuminate to indicate the active connection.

3. Connecting to Devices

2.4 GHz Wireless: Insert the USB dongle into an available USB port on your computer. The keyboard should automatically connect to the dongle when F1 channel is selected.

Bluetooth:

  1. Ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Press FN + F2 or FN + F3 to select a Bluetooth channel. The corresponding key will blink, indicating pairing mode.
  3. On your device, search for "Cherry KW X ULP" in the Bluetooth settings and select it to pair.
  4. Once paired, the F2 or F3 key will illuminate steadily.

Corded Mode: Connect the USB-C end of the cable to the keyboard and the USB-A end to your computer. Select the F4 channel. This mode provides a stable connection and charges the keyboard simultaneously.

Operating Instructions

1. Typing Experience

The Cherry KW X ULP keyboard features CHERRY MX Ultra Low Profile switches, providing a tactile and responsive typing experience. These switches are designed for durability, rated for up to 50 million keystrokes per key.

2. Function Keys and Illumination

The keyboard includes white illumination for all keys, with additional color LEDs for status keys such as Caps Lock, Num Lock, and the connection indicators (F1-F4). The function keys (F1-F12) are defaulted to media control/shortcut functionality. To use the standard F1-F12 functions, hold down the FN key.

To toggle the default behavior of the function keys (i.e., to make F-keys primary and media keys secondary without holding FN), press FN + CTRL simultaneously. This will swap the primary function of the F-keys.

3. Adjustable Feet

The keyboard features adjustable feet on the underside, allowing you to set a preferred typing angle for improved ergonomics and comfort.

Maintenance

1. Cleaning
