Setup and Installation

Charging the Battery

Before first use, ensure the battery is fully charged. The 1500mAh high-capacity rechargeable battery takes approximately 3 hours to fully charge using the provided USB-C cable.

Installation Methods

The DUSKTEC Under Cabinet Lighting offers two convenient installation methods:

  1. Direct Absorption on Metal Surfaces: The light has built-in magnets, allowing it to directly adhere to any ironwork surface (e.g., metal cabinets, refrigerators).
  2. Adhesive Iron Plates: For non-ironwork surfaces, use the provided adhesive iron plates.
    • Clean the desired installation surface thoroughly.
    • Peel the protective film from the adhesive side of the iron plate.
    • Stick the iron plate firmly onto the surface.
    • Attach the light bar to the iron plate using its built-in magnets.

Kind Tip: Before permanent installation, test the light in the appropriate position to ensure accurate placement. Once the 3M tape is applied, it will be difficult to remove. If you remove the battery to charge it, all settings will be lost and must be reprogrammed.

Control Buttons Overview

Power On/Off and Brightness Adjustment (S1 Button)

  • Turn On/Off: Double tap the S1 button to turn the light on or off.
  • Stepless Dimming: When the light is on, long press the S1 button to adjust the brightness from 10% to 100%. Release when the desired brightness is reached.

Color Temperature Adjustment (S2 Button)

  • Change Color: Double tap the S1 button to turn the light on. Then, short press the S2 button to cycle through the 3 color temperatures:
    • 3000K (Warm White)
    • 4000K (Neutral White)
    • 6000K (Cool White)

Motion Sensor Modes (S2 Button)

The light features two motion sensor modes for energy efficiency:

  • AUTO (All Day) Mode: Triple tap the S1 button to activate sensor mode. This mode turns the light on automatically when human motion is detected, regardless of ambient light conditions.
  • AUTO (Daylight Sensor) Mode: After activating sensor mode (triple tap S1), long press the S2 button to switch to Daylight Sensor mode. In this mode, the light automatically turns on only when human motion is detected in a dark environment (low ambient light).

In both AUTO modes, the light automatically turns off after 20 seconds if no motion is detected within a range of 3-5 meters / 150°.

Maintenance

Battery Life and Recharging

The 1500mAh rechargeable battery provides varying battery life depending on the mode:

  • Always-On Mode: Lasts up to 6-8 hours at maximum brightness, or up to 48 hours at minimum brightness.
  • AUTO (All Day) Mode: Lasts approximately 2-3 weeks with continuous motion sensing.
  • AUTO (Daylight Sensor) Mode: Lasts approximately 5-7 weeks.

To recharge, simply detach the battery from the light bar and connect it to a USB-C power source. This allows for convenient charging without removing the entire light fixture.

Cleaning

To clean the light, gently wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or electronic components.

Troubleshooting
