Setup and Assembly

1. Handlebar Assembly:

3. Attaching Cutting Head:

4. Fuel Preparation:

   The GFS 52.3 uses a 2-stroke engine. Prepare a fuel mixture of gasoline and 2-stroke engine oil at a ratio of 1:40. Use a clean fuel container and funnel. Do not use pure gasoline.

5. Attaching the Harness:

   Attach the comfortable carrying strap system to the brush cutter. Adjust the straps to ensure the machine is balanced and comfortable to carry, distributing the weight evenly across your shoulders and back.

Operating Instructions

Starting the Engine:

1. Place the brush cutter on a flat, stable surface.
2. Ensure the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.
3. Press the primer pump several times until fuel is visible in the return line.
4. Set the choke lever to the "CLOSED" (cold start) position.
5. Pull the starter cord firmly and steadily until the engine fires briefly.
6. Once the engine fires, move the choke lever to the "OPEN" position.
7. Pull the starter cord again until the engine starts and runs smoothly.
8. Allow the engine to warm up for a few moments before engaging the throttle.

Operation:

• Hold the brush cutter firmly with both hands using the handlebar.
• Maintain a balanced stance and control the cutting head with smooth, sweeping motions.
• For line spool operation, gently tap the cutting head on the ground to extend the line (tip-automatic).
• For blade operation, be mindful of kickback, especially when cutting thicker material.
• Avoid hitting hard objects with the cutting head.

Stopping the Engine:

Release the throttle and move the ignition switch to the "OFF" position.

Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your GÜDE GFS 52.3 Brush Cutter.

• Air Filter: Clean the air filter regularly, especially in dusty conditions. Replace if damaged.
• Spark Plug: Inspect and clean the spark plug periodically. Replace if worn or fouled.
