3. Setup
3.1 Powering the Device
The MIDI Captain can be powered in several ways:
- 9V DC Adapter: Connect a standard 9V DC power adapter (not included) to the 9V input jack.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Foot Switch Operation
The MIDI Captain features 10 foot switches, each fully customizable. These switches can send various MIDI messages, including Program Change (PC), Control Change (CC), and Note messages. Each switch supports separate push and release functions, allowing for complex control sequences.
4.2 Time Engine Function
The unique Time Engine function allows you to record and automate complex key actions. This feature is ideal for creating intricate sequences or automating routine tasks during a performance. To use the Time Engine:
- Prepare your desired effects presets within a single bank.
- Initiate the recording function on the MIDI Captain.
- Perform the sequence of foot switch actions you wish to record.

These presets can be fully customized using the USB Deep Setup Mode. 5. Maintenance
