3. Installation Guide
3.1 Pre-Installation Checks
- Ensure your vehicle is a Volkswagen VW Beetle model year 2004-2010.
- Disconnect the vehicle's battery before beginning installation to prevent electrical damage.
- Verify the power cable port on the stereo matches your original car's wiring.
3.2 Physical Installation
Installation of this unit requires modification of the existing dashboard. Professional installation is recommended if you are not familiar with car audio system installations.
- Carefully remove the original car stereo and dashboard trim.
- Important Note: Remove the air conditioning knob and air conditioning outlet from the original dash. These components will be reinstalled into the new radio frame.
- Dash Modification: The entire air conditioning knob housing needs to be cut from the car's original structure to accommodate the new radio frame. This is a permanent modification.
- Install the air conditioning knob and outlets into the new radio frame.
- Connect the wiring harness to the new stereo unit and the vehicle's wiring.
- Secure the new stereo unit and frame into the dashboard opening. Ensure it is firmly seated. Note: Some users have reported that the included screws may be too shallow. If the unit is not secure, consider using longer screws if necessary.

3.4 Connecting the Backup Camera
The included AHD backup camera enhances safety by providing a clear view when reversing.
- Connect the camera's video output to the 'Video(out)' port on the stereo's rear.
- Connect the camera's red power wire to the reversing lamp's positive (+) terminal.
- Connect the camera's black ground wire to a suitable ground (GND) point.
- Ensure the reverse input cable is plugged into the stereo, even if the reverse camera is not being used, as this can affect Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signal reception.
