6. Troubleshooting
6.1 Connectivity Issues
- No Connection: Ensure the camera is powered on and within range of your Wi-Fi router. Check your Wi-Fi password in the Tapo app.
- Frequent Disconnections: Try repositioning the camera or router to improve signal strength. Consider using an Ethernet connection for more stable connectivity.
6.2 Image Quality Problems
- Blurry Image: Clean the camera lens. Ensure there's no condensation or fogging inside the lens (if persistent, contact support).
- Poor Night Vision: Ensure there is sufficient ambient light for ColorPro Night Vision to function optimally. If in complete darkness, consider adding an external light source.
6.3 False Alerts
- Too Many Notifications: Adjust the motion detection sensitivity in the Tapo app. Define specific activity zones to exclude areas with irrelevant motion (e.g., busy roads, swaying trees).
- AI Detection Issues: Ensure the AI detection types (person, pet, vehicle) are correctly configured in the app.
6.4 General Issues
- Camera Unresponsive: Try rebooting the camera by unplugging it from power for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. If the issue persists, perform a factory reset (refer to the Quick Start Guide for button location).
