Setup
1. Charging the Headset
Before first use, fully charge your headset. Connect the USB-C cable to the headset's charging port and the other end to a USB power source. The LED indicator will show charging status.
2. Powering On/Off
To power on, slide the Power switch to the 'On' position. To power off, slide the Power switch to the 'Off' position.
3. Connecting via Bluetooth
- Ensure the headset is powered on.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- The headset will automatically enter pairing mode (LED will flash blue/red).
- Select "EPOS Adapt 560 II" from your device's Bluetooth list.
- Once connected, the LED will turn solid blue.
4. Connecting via USB Dongle
For PC/Mac, insert the USB dongle into an available USB port. The headset will automatically connect to the dongle. The LED on the dongle will turn solid blue when connected.
5. Wearing the Headset
Adjust the headband for a comfortable fit. The ear pads are designed for long-term comfort. Position the boom microphone close to your mouth for optimal voice clarity. The boom arm is foldable and can be tucked away when not in use.
Operating Instructions
1. Call Management
- Answer/End Call: Press the Multi-Function Button (MFB) once.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the MFB for 2 seconds.
- Mute/Unmute Microphone: Press the Mute button on the headset or flip the boom arm up/down.
2. Volume Control
- Increase Volume: Press the Volume Up button.
- Decrease Volume: Press the Volume Down button.
3. Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
Press the ANC button to toggle Active Noise Cancellation on/off. ANC helps reduce background noise for improved concentration.
4. Multi-point Connectivity
The headset supports connecting to two Bluetooth devices simultaneously. It will intelligently switch between devices for calls and audio playback.
5. Boom Arm Functionality
Flipping the boom arm down activates the microphone and can automatically answer an incoming call (depending on settings). Flipping it up mutes the microphone.
Maintenance
- Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the headset. Avoid using liquids or abrasive cleaners.
- Earpad Replacement: The earpads are designed to be replaceable. If they show signs of wear, contact EPOS support for replacement options to prolong the headset's lifespan.
- Storage: When not in use, store the headset in its provided carry case to protect it from dust and damage.
Troubleshooting
- No Audio/Connection Issues:
- Ensure the headset is charged and powered on.
- Verify Bluetooth is enabled on your device and the headset is paired.
- If using the USB dongle, ensure it's properly inserted and the headset is connected.
- Try restarting both the headset and your connected device.
- Poor Audio Quality:
- Ensure the boom microphone is positioned correctly near your mouth.
- Check for interference from other wireless devices.
- Update headset firmware via the EPOS Connect software (if available).
- ANC Not Working:
- Ensure ANC is toggled on using the dedicated button.
