2.2 Installation Modes

The cooker hood can be installed in two modes:

  • Extraction Mode (Ducting): Air is extracted from the kitchen and vented outside through a duct pipe. This mode requires an external vent.
  • Recirculation Mode: Air is filtered through carbon filters to remove odors and then recirculated back into the kitchen. This mode is suitable when external venting is not possible. Carbon filters are required for this mode.

4. Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance ensure optimal performance and extend the lifespan of your cooker hood. Always disconnect the power supply before cleaning.

4.1 Cleaning the Exterior

Wipe the exterior surfaces with a soft cloth dampened with mild detergent. Do not use abrasive cleaners, corrosive detergents, or stiff brushes, as these can damage the stainless steel finish.

4.2 Cleaning Grease Filters

The 5-layer metal grease filters capture grease particles from cooking fumes. They should be cleaned regularly (approximately every 2-4 weeks, depending on usage) to maintain efficiency and prevent fire hazards.

  1. Remove the grease filters by releasing their latches.
  2. Wash the filters by hand in hot soapy water or in a dishwasher. Ensure they are completely dry before re-installing.
  3. Re-install the clean, dry grease filters.

4.3 Replacing Carbon Filters (Recirculation Mode Only)

  1. Remove the grease filters to access the carbon filters.
  2. Twist or unclip the old carbon filters and remove them.
  3. Install new carbon filters, ensuring they are securely in place.
  4. Re-install the grease filters.
