Setup
1. Charging the Batteries
Before initial use, fully charge the remote transmitter and both receiver collars. The system uses Lithium Polymer batteries, which typically charge within 2-3 hours. Use the provided splitter cable to charge both collars simultaneously. An indicator light will show charging status.
2. Fitting the Receiver Collar
Proper fit of the receiver collar is crucial for consistent and effective stimulation. The contact points must have direct contact with your dog's skin. The collar should be snug enough to allow only one finger to fit between the strap and your dog's neck. Avoid leaving the collar on for more than 8-12 hours a day to prevent skin irritation.

- Boost Function: The customizable Boost button allows for an instant increase in the stimulation level, useful for immediate recall or breaking intense focus.
- Safety Level Lock: This feature prevents accidental changes to the stimulation level, ensuring consistent training and safety.
Using the HANDSFREE Square
The HANDSFREE Square is a small, remote button that can be worn on your finger or wrist, allowing for discreet and immediate control without needing to hold the main transmitter. This is particularly useful when your hands are occupied.

Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Dogtra 1902S HANDSFREE Plus system, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Cleaning: Keep the device dry and away from heat sources. Clean with a damp cloth if necessary. Do not submerge the remote transmitter or HANDSFREE Square in water. The receiver collar is waterproof, but should be rinsed with fresh water after exposure to saltwater or harsh conditions.
- Battery Care: Fully charge the batteries before long periods of inactivity. Store in a cool, dry place.
- Contact Points: Regularly inspect the contact points on the receiver collar for cleanliness and ensure they are free of debris. Check your dog's neck daily for any signs of skin irritation from the contact points.
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Dogtra 1902S HANDSFREE Plus system, consider the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Stimulation/Vibration: Ensure both the transmitter and receiver collar are fully charged and turned on. Check that the contact points are making proper skin contact. Test the stimulation using the provided test light.
- Reduced Range: Environmental factors (e.g., terrain, buildings, heavy foliage) can affect range. Ensure the antenna on the transmitter is not obstructed.
- Intermittent Operation: Check for loose connections or damage to components. Ensure the HANDSFREE Square is properly paired.
- Skin Irritation: Ensure the collar is not too tight and is not worn for excessive periods. Reposition the collar periodically and clean the contact points and your dog's neck regularly. Consult a veterinarian if irritation persists.
