4. Installation
4.1. Preparation Before Installation
Before beginning installation, ensure you have the necessary tools and materials. The installation area should be hard, flat, and firm to avoid vibration and noise. Avoid installing near heat sources, steam sources, smoke, oil, or flammable/explosive gases. Ensure no obstructions around the inlet and outlet of the units.

4.2. Indoor Unit Installation
- Remove the mounting bracket pre-installed on the back of the indoor unit.
- Using a paper pattern, identify the exact location for drilling screw holes for the mounting bracket.
- Drill the screw holes in the corresponding positions.
- Insert expansion tubes for expansion screws and securely mount the bracket on the wall.
- Drill a wall hole with a hole punch, ensuring a certain angle of inclination (high on the inside, low on the outside) for proper drainage.
- Confirm the direction of placing the air conditioning ducts and use tools to remove the duct boards.
- Remove the protective film from the surface of the indoor unit.
- Lift the cover, remove the two screws of the power cord cover and the internal screws that hold the cord in place.
- Thread the 5.9ft communication cable through the hole on the back of the indoor unit. According to the color, unscrew the screws and fix the wires in the corresponding position.
- Connect the refrigerant pipes to the indoor unit, ensuring the joints fit snugly and are tightened with a wrench.
- Connect the thicker end of the drain hose to the drain pipe of the indoor unit.
- Line up all the wires and pipes neatly, turn them to the position of the corresponding holes, and wrap them together with plastic tapes.
- Hang the indoor unit on the mounting bracket, run the pipes and wires through the previously punched wall hole, and cover them with pipe protection rings inside and outside the walls. Plug the excess holes using putty.
4.3. Outdoor Unit Installation
- Leave out the drain pipe and tape off the remaining pipes, ensuring proper insulation.
- Place the outdoor unit in a suitable location (outside the wall bracket or on the ground). The equipment will need to be purchased separately.
- Connect the two pipes to the outdoor unit, ensuring that the joints fit snugly and are tightened.
- Remove the 3 screws from the cover and use a tool to open the two holes at the lower end of the cover.
- Pass the wires through the cover hole (usually the right-hand hole).
- Fix the 3 wires of the power cable one by one according to the color.
- Secure the fixing plate.
- Fix the 4 wires of the communication cable one by one according to the color.
- Install the other end of the power cord in the power supply (green - ground wire, black - fire wire, white - zero wire).
4.4. Vacuuming and Refrigerant Charging
- Unscrew the three nuts circled on the outdoor unit's valves.
- Connect the stop valve, charging hose, manifold valve, and vacuum pump as shown in the diagram.
- Vacuumize for at least 15 minutes, ensuring the pressure gauge value is ≤ -0.1MPa (-76cmHg / 500µm). Keep the pressure for 35 minutes after vacuumizing; make sure springback is ≤ 0.05MPa.
- Open the 1/4 liquid valve, then remove the charging hose.
- Using an allen wrench, open all the liquid valves and gas valves, and finally retighten the three caps.
4.5. Water Drain Test
- Pour in 500ml water along the evaporator for about 20 seconds.
- Check to see if water is flowing from the pipe outside the wall.
4.6. Electrical Leakage Test
- If there is electricity leakage, turn off power immediately to check where the leakage of electricity is occurring.
