5.2 Battery Management System (BMS)
The integrated BMS provides comprehensive protection for the battery, ensuring safe and stable operation. The BMS will automatically cut off power in the event of:
- Overcharge Protection
- Over-discharge Protection
- High Temperature Protection
- Short Circuit Protection
- Discharge Overcurrent Protection

6. Maintenance
6.1 Regular Charging
For optimal battery health, ensure the battery is charged regularly, especially after significant discharge. The included 4A charger features a 6-step automatic charging process (Desulfation, Soft start, Adaptive, Bulk, Absorption, Maintenance) to optimize charging and prolong battery life.

Image 6.1: 6 Steps Automatic Charging Process. This graph illustrates the different stages of the charger's automatic charging cycle, showing how voltage and current are managed for efficient and safe charging.
6.2 Long-Term Storage
If the battery is to be left unused for a prolonged period, remove it from the instrument or application. Charge the battery to 50%-80% of its capacity. Recharge the battery for at least one hour every month to prevent deep discharge. Do not leave the battery in a deficit state (below 5% power) for extended periods, as this can cause irreversible damage.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your ECO-WORTHY battery, consider the following:
- Battery Not Charging: Ensure the charger is properly connected to both the battery and the AC outlet. Verify that the charger is functioning correctly. Check for any visible damage to the charger or cables.
- Low Capacity/Short Runtime: Ensure the battery is fully charged before use. Verify that the load connected to the battery does not exceed its continuous discharge current rating. Extreme cold temperatures can temporarily reduce battery performance; allow the battery to warm up if operating in very cold conditions.
- BMS Protection Triggered: If the battery suddenly stops providing power, the BMS may have activated a protection feature (e.g., over-discharge, overcurrent). Disconnect the load, allow the battery to rest, and then attempt to recharge it. The 4A charger is designed to restart and charge LiFePO4 batteries after a BMS 0V protection has been triggered.
- Physical Damage: Inspect the battery and charger for any signs of physical damage. Do not use damaged components.
