1. Introduction

Thank you for choosing the Sudio F2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker. This speaker is designed to deliver impressive sound with rumbling bass, warm mids, and clear highs, suitable for various environments. Its robust IPX7 waterproof rating and 15-hour playtime make it ideal for outdoor events, pool parties, and even shower use. The F2 also features a unique broadcast function, allowing you to link up to 100 speakers for an expansive audio experience.

Please read this manual carefully to ensure proper use and to maximize your enjoyment of the Sudio F2 speaker.

3.1 Controls and Ports

The Sudio F2 features intuitive button controls and essential connectivity ports:

  • Power Button: Typically located on the side or top. Press and hold to power on/off.
  • Volume Buttons: Usually '+' and '-' buttons to adjust playback volume.
  • Play/Pause Button: For controlling audio playback.
  • Bluetooth Pairing Button: Initiates Bluetooth pairing mode.
  • Broadcast Function Button: Activates the multi-speaker linking feature.
  • USB-C Charging Port: For charging the speaker's internal battery. Located under a sealed cover.
  • 3.5mm AUX Input: For wired audio connections. Located under a sealed cover.

Note: For detailed button functions, refer to the "Operating Instructions" section.

4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Speaker

  1. Locate the sealed port cover on the side of the speaker.
  2. Gently open the cover to expose the USB-C charging port.
  3. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the speaker's charging port and the other end to a compatible USB power adapter (not included) or a computer's USB port.
  4. The charging indicator light will illuminate. A full charge takes approximately 4 hours.
  5. Once fully charged, disconnect the cable and securely close the port cover to maintain the IPX7 waterproof rating.

The speaker provides up to 15 hours of playtime on a full charge.

4.2 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the Power button for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt or see an indicator light.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the Power button again for a few seconds until you hear an audible prompt or the indicator light turns off.

4.3 Bluetooth Pairing

  1. Ensure the Sudio F2 speaker is powered on and within 10 meters (33 feet) of your Bluetooth device.
  2. The speaker will automatically enter Bluetooth pairing mode when powered on for the first time, or if no device is connected. An indicator light will flash, and you may hear an audible prompt.
  3. On your device (smartphone, tablet, computer), go to the Bluetooth settings.
  4. Search for available devices and select "Sudio F2" from the list.
  5. Once connected, you will hear a confirmation sound, and the indicator light will become solid.
  6. The speaker will automatically reconnect to the last paired device when powered on, if available.

4.4 AUX Connection

For devices without Bluetooth or for a wired connection:

  1. Open the sealed port cover on the side of the speaker.
  2. Connect a 3.5mm audio cable (not included) from your audio source's headphone jack to the AUX input port on the Sudio F2.
  3. The speaker will automatically switch to AUX mode.
  4. Adjust volume from both your audio source and the speaker.
  5. Remember to close the port cover when not in use to maintain water resistance.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Playback Controls

  • Play/Pause: Press the Play/Pause button once.
  • Volume Up: Press the '+' button. Hold to increase volume continuously.
  • Volume Down: Press the '-' button. Hold to decrease volume continuously.
  • Next Track: Double-press the '+' button.
  • Previous Track: Double-press the '-' button.

5.2 Broadcast Function (Multi-Speaker Linking)

The Sudio F2 allows you to connect up to 100 F2 speakers wirelessly for a synchronized audio experience.

  1. Ensure all Sudio F2 speakers you wish to link are powered on and not currently paired to any Bluetooth device.
  2. Pair your primary Sudio F2 speaker to your Bluetooth device as described in section 4.3. This will be your "Host" speaker.
  3. On the Host speaker, press the dedicated Broadcast Function Button (often indicated by a specific icon). The indicator light will change to show it's in broadcast mode.
  4. On each additional Sudio F2 speaker (the "Client" speakers), press the Broadcast Function Button. They will search for the Host speaker.
  5. Once connected, all Client speakers will synchronize with the Host speaker, playing the same audio. Indicator lights will confirm the connection.
  6. To disconnect a Client speaker, press its Broadcast Function Button again. To end the broadcast for all speakers, press the Broadcast Function Button on the Host speaker.

Note: Volume control on the Host speaker will affect all linked speakers. Individual Client speakers may have their own volume adjustments.

5.3 Water Resistance (IPX7)

The Sudio F2 speaker has an IPX7 waterproof rating, meaning it can be submerged in water up to 1 meter (3 feet) for 30 minutes. This makes it suitable for use in showers, by the pool, or in rainy conditions.

  • Important: Always ensure the USB-C charging port and AUX input port covers are securely closed before exposing the speaker to water.
  • Do not expose the speaker to saltwater or other chemicals, as this may damage the seals.
  • After exposure to water, wipe the speaker dry with a soft cloth before charging or opening the port covers.

6. Maintenance

Proper care will extend the life of your Sudio F2 speaker.

  • Cleaning: Wipe the speaker with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, alcohol, or chemical solvents.
  • Water Resistance: Always ensure the port cover is securely closed when near water. After exposure to water, dry the speaker thoroughly before charging.
  • Storage: Store the speaker in a cool, dry place away from extreme temperatures and direct sunlight.
  • Battery Care: To preserve battery life, avoid fully discharging the speaker frequently. Charge it regularly, even if not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Sudio F2 speaker, refer to the following common solutions:

7.1 No Power

  • Ensure the speaker is fully charged. Connect it to a power source using the USB-C cable.
  • Verify the charging cable and adapter are working correctly.
  • Press and hold the Power button for a longer duration (5-7 seconds) to ensure it powers on.

7.2 Cannot Pair via Bluetooth

  • Make sure the speaker is in pairing mode (indicator light flashing).
  • Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device and it is within 10 meters of the speaker.
  • Forget "Sudio F2" from your device's Bluetooth list and try pairing again.
  • Turn off and on both the speaker and your Bluetooth device.
  • Ensure no other devices are currently connected to the Sudio F2.

7.3 No Sound or Low Volume

  • Increase the volume on both the speaker and your connected device.
  • If using Bluetooth, ensure the speaker is properly paired and connected.
  • If using AUX, ensure the 3.5mm cable is fully inserted into both the speaker and the audio source.
  • Check if the audio source is playing.

7.4 Broadcast Function Not Working

  • Ensure all speakers are Sudio F2 models.
  • Verify the Host speaker is paired to your device and in broadcast mode.
  • Ensure Client speakers are not paired to any other device before attempting to link.
  • Keep speakers within reasonable range of each other for optimal connection.

The Sudio F2 Portable Bluetooth Speaker comes with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. It does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, unauthorized modifications, or normal wear and tear.
