Setup
1. Initial Charging
Before first use, fully charge your Dyson Zone™ headphones using the provided USB-C charging cable. Connect the USB-C cable to the charging port on the headphones and to a compatible USB power adapter. The charging indicator light will show the charging status.
2. Attaching the Visor
The air purification visor attaches magnetically to the earcups. Align the magnetic connectors on the visor with those on the earcups and gently bring them together until they click into place. Ensure a secure fit for optimal air purification performance.
3. Bluetooth Pairing
- Ensure your headphones are charged and powered on.
- Activate Bluetooth on your device (smartphone, tablet, etc.).
- On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "Dyson Zone" from the list.
- Once connected, the headphones will indicate successful pairing.
4. Dyson Link App
Download the Dyson Link app from your device's app store. The app allows for advanced control, monitoring of air quality, and customization of audio and air purification settings.
Operating Instructions
Power On/Off
Press and hold the power button located on the earcup for 3 seconds to power the headphones on or off.
Audio Controls
- Volume: Use the dedicated volume control dial on the earcup.
- Play/Pause: Single press the multi-function button.
- Skip Track: Double press the multi-function button for next track, triple press for previous track.
Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) & Transparency Mode
Double-tap anywhere on the earcups to switch between ANC mode (for immersive audio) and Transparency mode (to hear your surroundings). ANC can also be managed via the Dyson Link app.
Air Purification System
- The air purification system activates automatically when the visor is attached and positioned correctly.
- Adjust fan speed (low, medium, high) via the Dyson Link app. Note that higher fan speeds may introduce audible noise.
- To pause air purification and noise cancellation for conversation, simply pull the visor downwards. The bottom magnetic attachments swivel to allow this.
Call Functions
- Answer/End Call: Single press the multi-function button.
- Reject Call: Press and hold the multi-function button.
Maintenance
Cleaning
- Wipe the headphones and visor with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
- Use the provided visor cleaning brush to gently clean the air inlets and outlets on the visor.
Filter Replacement
The electrostatic carbon filters are replaceable. The Dyson Link app will notify you when filter replacement is recommended based on usage and air quality data. To replace filters:
- Gently twist and remove the outer grilles from the earcups.
- Remove the old filters.
- Insert new electrostatic carbon filters, ensuring they are correctly seated.
- Reattach the outer grilles by twisting them back into place.
Battery Care
To prolong battery life, avoid fully discharging the headphones frequently. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.
Troubleshooting
