3. Device Layout

The G380D features a classic flip design with two screens and a large, easy-to-use keypad.

3.1 Dual Display Screens

The phone has a main internal screen and a smaller external screen. The external screen displays time, incoming calls, and battery status without needing to open the phone.

4. Setup

4.1 SIM Card Installation

  1. Open the back cover of the phone.
  2. Remove the battery if it is already inserted.
  3. Carefully insert your 2G GSM SIM card into the designated slot. Ensure the gold contacts face downwards and the card is correctly oriented.
  4. The phone supports standard SIM card sizes. Use the provided adapters if your SIM card is smaller.

4.2 Battery Installation

  1. Align the battery contacts with the terminals inside the phone.
  2. Gently press the battery into place until it is secure.
  3. Replace the back cover, ensuring it clicks firmly into position.

4.3 Charging the Phone

Before first use, fully charge the phone for at least 4 hours.

  1. Using the Charging Cradle: Place the phone into the charging cradle. Ensure the charging contacts on the phone align with those on the cradle. The charging indicator light will illuminate.
  2. Using the USB Cable: Connect the USB cable to the phone's charging port (USB Type C) and the other end to the power adapter. Plug the adapter into a wall outlet.

4.4 Powering On/Off

  • To Power On: Press and hold the red 'End Call' button (usually marked with a power symbol) until the screen lights up.
  • To Power Off: Press and hold the red 'End Call' button until the power-off options appear, then confirm.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Making and Receiving Calls

  • To Make a Call: Enter the phone number using the keypad and press the green 'Call' button.
  • To Answer a Call: Press the green 'Call' button when the phone rings.
  • To End a Call: Press the red 'End Call' button.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

Use the volume buttons located on the side of the phone to adjust call volume and ringtone volume.

5.3 Sending and Receiving Messages

Navigate to the 'Messaging' menu to compose new messages or read incoming ones. The large keypad facilitates typing.

The M1, M2, and M3 keys can be programmed for one-key calling to frequently dialed numbers.

  1. Go to 'Settings' > 'Speed Dial' to assign contacts to M1, M2, M3.

  1. Setup: In 'Settings' > 'SOS Settings', you can add up to 5 emergency contact numbers and an emergency message.
  2. Activation: In an emergency, press and hold the SOS button on the back of the phone for 3 seconds. The phone will automatically dial the pre-set numbers one by one and send the emergency message.
