Setup

The HAKINAKU D6 Carbon Monoxide Detector comes ready for use with a built-in rechargeable battery. Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the device.

Charging the Device:

• Locate the Type-C charging port on the side of the device.
• Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the device and a compatible USB power source (e.g., wall adapter, computer USB port).
• The battery indicator on the display will show charging status. A full charge can provide up to 120 hours of working time.

Powering On/Off:

• To power on the device, press and hold the central power button (marked with a circle and vertical line) until the screen illuminates.
• To power off the device, press and hold the central power button until the screen turns off.

• CO (Carbon Monoxide): Displayed in PPM (Parts Per Million) at the top of the screen. Range: 0 to 1000PPM.
• Humidity: Shown as a percentage (RH) in the bottom-left. Range: 0% to 95%RH.
• Temperature: Displayed in Fahrenheit (℉) or Celsius (℃) in the bottom-right. Range: -4 to 140 ℉.
• Battery Indicator: Located at the top-right, showing current battery level.
• Alarm Status: A speaker icon indicates if the audible alarm is enabled/disabled. A flame icon changes color based on CO levels.

• 101-200 PPM: Fire icon shows orange; 5 times alarm alert in 3 minutes.
• >201 PPM: Fire icon shows red; continuously alarm alert!

Maintenance

Battery Care:

• The device features a built-in 1000mAh rechargeable Lithium Ion battery.
• To maximize battery life, the backlight will turn off when there is no operation or alarm signal, but detection continues every 2 seconds.
• Recharge the device using the provided Type-C cable when the battery indicator is low.

Cleaning:

• Wipe the device with a soft, dry cloth.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
• Ensure the air duct openings are clear of dust and debris for accurate readings.

Troubleshooting

Testing the Detector:

Carbon monoxide is generated during incomplete combustion and dense smoke. To test the detector's functionality:

• Bring the detector close to a cigarette or burning paper that produces thick smoke.
• The CO concentration should change and display on the screen.
• Do not test with car exhaust or in an airy place, as too low CO concentration may not trigger the sensor.

Low Battery Indication:

• The audible alarm will sound "di" every minute when the battery is low.
• Recharge the device promptly using the Type-C cable to ensure continuous operation.
