5. Operating Instructions
The Braun MultiGrill 9 offers three primary cooking modes and precise temperature control for optimal results.

Figure 2: Three Grilling Modes. The MultiGrill 9 can be used as a contact grill, an open BBQ/griddle, or in an oven-style position.
5.1 Grilling Modes
- Contact Grill Mode: Use with the lid closed. Ideal for sandwiches, paninis, burgers, and thinner cuts of meat. Food is cooked simultaneously from both sides, ensuring even cooking and reduced cooking time.
- Open BBQ/Griddle Mode: Open the grill completely to lay it flat, creating two large, independent cooking surfaces. This mode is perfect for larger quantities of food, delicate items like fish, or for cooking different foods at different temperatures simultaneously.
- Oven Mode: Position the top plate to hover above the food without making contact. This is suitable for melting cheese, warming items, or cooking thicker foods that require indirect heat.
5.2 Temperature Control
The MultiGrill 9 features independent temperature control for the upper and lower plates, allowing for precise cooking.

- Individual Dials: Use the dedicated temperature dials for the upper and lower plates to set your desired cooking temperature.
- Digital Display: The integrated digital display shows the current and target temperatures for each plate, along with a timer.
- Preheating: Allow the grill to preheat until the indicator light or display confirms it has reached the set temperature. This ensures even cooking and proper searing.
5.3 Sear Function (Boost)
The sear function provides a short, intense burst of heat for perfect browning and crust development.
