5. Setup
5.1 Battery Installation
The TS-710 requires three AAA batteries (included). To install or replace batteries:
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the back of the device.
- Slide the cover open in the direction indicated by the arrow.
- Insert three AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-) as marked inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely until it clicks into place.
6. Operating Instructions
6.1 Power On/Off
- To power on the device, press the Power button (
). - To power off the device, press and hold the Power button for approximately 2 seconds. The device will also auto shut-off after 10 minutes of inactivity.
6.2 Unit Selection (Lux/FC, °C/°F)
- To switch between Lux and Foot Candle (FC) measurement units, press the UNIT button.
- To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature display, press the °C/°F button.

- To activate the display backlight, long press the H/
button. - Press the same button again to turn off the backlight.
6.4 Data Hold Function
- To freeze the current reading on the display, short press the H/
button. The 'H' icon will appear on the display. - Press the button again to release the data hold and resume live measurements.
6.5 MAX/MIN Measurement
- To view the maximum recorded value, press the MAX/MIN button once. The 'MAX' icon will appear.
- Press the MAX/MIN button again to view the minimum recorded value. The 'MIN' icon will appear.
- Press the MAX/MIN button a third time to exit MAX/MIN mode and return to live measurement.
