4. Setup
4.1 Mounting the Power Unit
The DOLUNTO Hydraulic Power Unit features universal mounting. Securely mount the unit to a stable structure using appropriate fasteners. Ensure the mounting surface can support the weight of the unit and withstand operational vibrations.
4.2 Adding Hydraulic Fluid
The unit may contain residual fluid from factory testing. Before initial operation, fill the tank with anti-wear hydraulic oil with a kinematic viscosity of 22-46mm²/s (at 50°C).
- Remove the oil fill cap/dipstick.
- Using a funnel, carefully pour the recommended hydraulic oil into the tank until it reaches the appropriate level indicated on the dipstick. Do not overfill.
- Replace the oil fill cap securely.
Video 4.1: Demonstrates the process of adding hydraulic oil to the power unit. Ensure to use anti-wear hydraulic oil with a kinematic viscosity of 22-46mm²/s (at 50°C).
4.3 Connecting Hydraulic Hoses
Connect the hydraulic hoses from your lifting equipment to the inlet and outlet ports of the power unit. Ensure all connections are tight and leak-free.
Video 4.2: Illustrates connecting the hydraulic oil hose to the power unit's ports. Use an adjustable wrench to ensure a secure connection.
4.4 Electrical Connection
Connect the power unit to a 220V AC power supply. Ensure proper wiring according to local electrical codes and safety standards. The unit is single-phase.
Video 4.3: Shows how to connect the 220V AC power supply wires to the unit. Ensure all connections are insulated and secure.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Lifting Operation
To lift the connected equipment:
- Ensure all connections are secure and the hydraulic fluid level is correct.
- Press the green power button on the control box to activate the motor.
- Use the remote cord set or the manual handle to initiate the ascent. The motor will run, and the hydraulic pressure will lift the equipment.
- Release the button/handle when the desired height is reached.
Video 5.1: Demonstrates powering on the unit and initiating the fast lifting process using the manual handle.
5.2 Lowering Operation
The unit supports gravity lowering. To lower the connected equipment:
- Ensure the area below the equipment is clear.
- Activate the lowering mechanism (typically a lever or button on the remote) to release hydraulic pressure. The equipment will descend due to gravity.
- Control the descent speed using the throttle valve if adjustable, or by carefully manipulating the release mechanism.
Video 5.2: Shows the gravity lowering function of the hydraulic power unit, demonstrating a controlled descent.
6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your hydraulic power unit.
- Check Fluid Level: Regularly inspect the hydraulic fluid level using the dipstick. Refill as necessary with the recommended fluid.
- Fluid Replacement: Replace hydraulic fluid periodically, or as recommended by the fluid manufacturer, to prevent contamination and maintain system efficiency.
- Inspect Hoses and Connections: Check all hydraulic hoses for wear, cracks, or damage. Ensure all connections are tight to prevent leaks.
- Clean Unit: Keep the exterior of the power unit clean and free of dirt, dust, and debris to prevent overheating and ensure proper function of controls.
- Electrical Inspection: Periodically check electrical wiring for any signs of damage or loose connections.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your hydraulic power unit, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- Unit Not Powering On: Check the electrical connection, power supply, and ensure the power button is functioning correctly. Verify circuit breakers are not tripped.
- Slow or No Lifting: Check hydraulic fluid level and ensure it is adequate. Inspect for any leaks in the hydraulic system. Verify the motor is running at the correct speed. The throttle valve might need adjustment.
- Fluid Leaks: Tighten all hydraulic hose connections. Inspect hoses and seals for damage and replace if necessary.
- Excessive Noise: Check hydraulic fluid level. Air in the hydraulic system can cause noise; cycle the system to bleed air. Inspect the motor and pump for any unusual wear.
- Equipment Not Lowering: Ensure the release handle or lowering mechanism is fully engaged. Check for obstructions or blockages in the hydraulic lines.
