Setup and Installation

Installation Steps

1. Prepare the Door: Ensure your door thickness and bore holes are compatible with the lock's dimensions. The lock is designed to fit most standard doors.
2. Install the Latch: Insert the latch into the door edge and secure it with screws. Ensure the latch bolt faces the correct direction for your door's swing.
3. Assemble the Exterior Knob: Connect the exterior keypad knob to the latch assembly.
4. Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the interior knob. Insert 1.5V AA alkaline batteries (not included), ensuring correct polarity.
5. Attach the Interior Knob: Connect the interior knob to the exterior assembly, aligning the spindle with the latch mechanism. Secure with the provided screws.
6. Test Functionality: After installation, test the lock's operation using the default code or a mechanical key to ensure it locks and unlocks smoothly.

Operating Instructions

Unlocking Methods

• Passcode Entry: Enter your programmed passcode on the keypad. The keypad features a backlight for use in low light conditions and an anti-peeping function to deter onlookers.
• Mechanical Key: Use the provided mechanical keys as a backup unlocking method. The keyhole is discreetly located for security.

Automatic Locking

For enhanced security, the door will automatically lock approximately 2.5 seconds after it is closed. This feature ensures your door is always secured behind you.

Silent Mode

To activate Silent Mode, long press the '*' key for 5 seconds. This will disable audible feedback from the lock. To deactivate, long press the '*' key again for 5 seconds.

Passage Mode

Passage Mode allows the door to remain unlocked for continuous access. To enable or disable Passage Mode, enter your master password, wait for the beep, then quickly press the '#' key.

Maintenance

Battery Replacement

The lock requires 1.5V AA alkaline batteries. When the batteries are low, the lock will provide a low battery alert. For emergency unlocking when batteries are completely dead, the lock can be temporarily powered via a USB cable connected to the USB charging port.

Cleaning

To clean the lock, use a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the finish or electronic components.

Troubleshooting

Common Issues and Solutions

• Lock not responding: Check battery levels. If batteries are depleted, use the mechanical key or connect a USB cable for emergency power.
• Forgotten Passcode: If you forget your master code, press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds until three beeps are heard. The master code will revert to the manufacturer's default code.
• Keypad not lighting up: This typically indicates low or dead batteries. Replace the batteries or use the USB emergency power feature.
• Door does not lock automatically: Ensure the door is fully closed and the latch is properly aligned with the strike plate. Check if Passage Mode is accidentally activated.
