6. Setup
6.1 Initial Charging
Before first use, it is recommended to fully charge the bug zapper. Connect the provided Type-C USB cable to the charging port on the device and plug the other end into a compatible USB power adapter (not included). The charging indicator will turn from red to green when fully charged (approximately 6 hours).

6.2 Placement
Choose a suitable location for the bug zapper. It can be placed on a flat surface or hung using the integrated hook. For optimal performance, place the zapper in an area where insects are prevalent, away from human activity to draw insects away from you.
When using the solar panel, ensure it is positioned in direct sunlight for maximum charging efficiency. The 3.6m cable allows for flexible placement of the solar panel relative to the zapper unit.

7. Operation
7.1 Powering On/Off and Mode Selection
The bug zapper features a mode switch with three positions: Normal Mode, OFF Mode, and Night Mode. The switch is located on the top of the unit, near the charging ports.

- Normal Mode: When connected to the solar panel, the zapper will operate continuously and simultaneously charge the internal battery during daylight hours. When connected via Type-C, the zapper will operate continuously.
- OFF Mode: Turns the bug zapper completely off. This mode should be selected before cleaning or storage.
- Night Mode: When connected to the solar panel, the zapper will only charge during the day. It will automatically power on and operate using the built-in battery when it detects darkness.

8. Maintenance
8.1 Cleaning the Bug Zapper
Regular cleaning is essential to maintain the efficiency of your bug zapper. Always ensure the device is in OFF Mode before cleaning.

- Twist the bottom tray: Rotate the mosquito storage box at the bottom of the unit counter-clockwise to unlock it.
- Remove and clean: Gently pull out the tray. Use the provided cleaning brush to remove any dead insects from the high-voltage grid.
- Rinse the tray: The collection tray can be rinsed with water. Ensure it is completely dry before reattaching.
- Reattach the tray: Align the tray and twist clockwise to secure it back in place.
Note: While the outer mesh is waterproof, avoid direct water exposure to the internal electrical components. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
