1. Introduction

This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, and maintenance of your Pelsee P1 Duo Dash Camera. This device is designed to record driving footage in 4K (front) and 1080P (rear) resolutions, offering enhanced safety and evidence collection capabilities. Please read this manual thoroughly before using the product to ensure proper functionality and safety.

3. Product Overview

3.1 Main Dash Cam Unit

The main unit features a 1.5-inch IPS display, a 4K front camera with a 160-degree wide angle, and controls for various functions. It includes a built-in G-sensor and supports loop recording. The unit is designed for discreet mounting behind the rearview mirror.

3.2 Rear Camera

The compact rear camera records in 1080P with a 150-degree wide angle, providing comprehensive coverage of the vehicle's rear. It connects to the main unit via a long cable, allowing for flexible installation.

4. Setup & Installation

4.1 Initial Setup

1. Insert SD Card: Insert the provided 64GB SD card into the main dash cam unit.
2. Connect Power: Connect the car charger to the main dash cam unit.
3. Connect Rear Camera: Plug the rear camera cable into the designated port on the main dash cam unit.

4.2 Mounting the Dash Cam

1. Clean Windshield: Ensure the area on your windshield where the dash cam will be mounted is clean and dry.
2. Attach Main Unit: Apply the adhesive pad to the dash cam mount and firmly press it onto the windshield, ideally behind the rearview mirror for optimal view and minimal obstruction.
3. Adjust Angle: Adjust the main unit's angle to capture the desired front view.
4. Mount Rear Camera: Attach the rear camera to the rear windshield using its adhesive pad. Ensure the lens faces outwards and captures a clear view of the rear.

4.3 Cable Management

Route the power cable and rear camera cable along the edges of your windshield and interior panels to keep them tidy and out of the way. Use the provided installation tool to tuck cables under trim. Plug the car charger into your vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

The dash cam automatically powers on and begins recording when your vehicle starts. It powers off automatically when the vehicle is turned off.

5.2 Recording Modes

• Dual Recording: Simultaneously captures 4K footage from the front camera and 1080P from the rear camera.
• Loop Recording: The dash cam continuously records, overwriting the oldest files when the SD card is full to ensure uninterrupted recording. Video segments can be set to 1, 3, or 5-minute durations.
• G-Sensor: Detects sudden collisions or impacts and automatically locks the corresponding footage to prevent it from being overwritten.
• 24-Hour Parking Mode: (Requires optional hardwire kit) Provides continuous surveillance when your car is parked. Time-lapse recording condenses video to save storage.

5.3 Voice Control

Control the dash cam hands-free using voice commands. Commands include "turn on/off recording audio," "take photos," and "lock video."

6. App Control (Pelsee Cam)

The "Pelsee Cam" app, available for iOS and Android, allows you to connect to the dash cam via built-in Wi-Fi. Through the app, you can:

• Download and save recorded videos to your smartphone.
• Playback and edit footage.
• Share travel moments with friends and family.
• Access settings and configurations.

7. Maintenance

• SD Card Formatting: Regularly format the SD card (e.g., monthly) to maintain optimal performance and prevent data corruption.
• Lens Cleaning: Keep the camera lenses clean using a soft, dry cloth to ensure clear video quality.
• Firmware Updates: Check the Pelsee Cam app periodically for firmware updates to ensure your dash cam has the latest features and improvements.

8. Troubleshooting

• Dash Cam Not Powering On: Ensure the car charger is properly connected to both the dash cam and the vehicle's 12V socket. Check the vehicle's fuse for the cigarette lighter.
• Recording Issues:
  • Verify the SD card is inserted correctly and is not full. Format the SD card if necessary.
  • Ensure loop recording is enabled in settings.
• Wi-Fi Connection Problems:
  • Make sure Wi-Fi is enabled on the dash cam and your smartphone.
  • Restart both the dash cam and your smartphone, then try connecting again.
• Poor Video Quality:
  • Clean the camera lenses.
  • Check video resolution settings in the app or on the device.
