3. Setup Instructions
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of each sensor and insert the 3 AA batteries provided, ensuring correct polarity.
- Download Govee Home App: Download the Govee Home app from the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play (Android devices).
- Pair Device: Open the Govee Home app, tap the '+' icon in the top right corner, and select 'H5179'. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection. Ensure your mobile device's Bluetooth is enabled.
- Connect to Wi-Fi: Within the app, connect the device to your 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network. (Note: 5G Wi-Fi is not supported).

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Real-time Monitoring
Once connected, you can monitor temperature and humidity data in real-time from anywhere using the Govee Home app. The device refreshes data every 2 seconds, providing up-to-date information.
4.2 Alert Function
Set custom temperature and humidity ranges within the Govee Home app. If levels fall outside your preset range, you will receive an immediate app alert, allowing you to react quickly to changes in your environment.

The Govee WiFi Temperature Sensor uploads data to the app when connected via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. You can view 20 days of online data storage directly in the app. For long-term analysis, you can export up to 2 years' worth of historical data in CSV format, which can be viewed through clear historical trends and graphs.

8. Troubleshooting

- Lost Wi-Fi connection frequently:
- Ensure the distance between the device and the router is less than 50m/98ft.

- Check if the battery is running low.
- Inaccurate Readings:
- Ensure the device is placed in a location with good air circulation and away from direct heat sources or drafts.
- Perform a calibration within the Govee Home app if you suspect consistent inaccuracies.
9. Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the device clean with a dry cloth. Do not immerse the device in water.
- Battery Replacement: When the battery level is low, replace the 3 AA batteries to ensure continuous operation and accurate data transmission.
