Setup and Installation

Initial Setup

  1. Unpack the refrigerator and all accessories.
  2. Clean the interior and exterior of the refrigerator with a damp cloth before first use.
  3. Place the refrigerator on a flat, stable surface, ensuring adequate ventilation around the unit.
  4. Allow the refrigerator to stand upright for at least 6 hours before connecting to power, especially if it was transported horizontally. This allows the refrigerant to settle.

Power Connection

The Acekool refrigerator supports both AC and DC power inputs.

  • AC Power (100-240V): Use the provided AC adapter. Connect the adapter to the refrigerator's AC input port, then plug the power cord into a standard wall outlet.
  • DC Power (12/24V): Use the provided cigarette lighter adapter. Connect the adapter to the refrigerator's DC input port, then plug the other end into your vehicle's 12V or 24V cigarette lighter socket.

Door Reversal (Optional)

The refrigerator door can be removed and reinstalled to open from the opposite side, providing flexibility for different setups.

  1. Ensure the refrigerator is unplugged and empty.
  2. Carefully remove the hinge pins and detach the door.
  3. Relocate the hinge components to the desired side.
  4. Reattach the door, ensuring it closes securely.

Operating Instructions

The control panel typically includes buttons for power, temperature adjustment (up/down), and mode selection (ECO/MAX).

Turning On/Off

Press and hold the power button for a few seconds to turn the refrigerator on or off.

Temperature Setting

  1. Once powered on, the display will show the current internal temperature.
  2. Press the '+' or '-' buttons to adjust the desired temperature. The display will flash the set temperature and then return to the current temperature.
  3. The refrigerator will automatically cool or heat to maintain the set temperature.

ECO/MAX Mode

Press the mode button to switch between ECO (Energy Saving) and MAX (Fast Cooling) modes.

  • ECO Mode: Lower power consumption, suitable for maintaining temperature over long periods.
  • MAX Mode: Higher power consumption for faster cooling, ideal for initial cool-down.

Battery Protection Setting

The refrigerator features a 3-level battery protection system (H/M/L) to prevent draining your vehicle's battery. This setting can usually be adjusted via the control panel (refer to specific model instructions for button combination).

  • H (High): Highest cut-off voltage, suitable for starting batteries.
  • M (Medium): Medium cut-off voltage, suitable for most applications.
  • L (Low): Lowest cut-off voltage, suitable for deep cycle batteries or when the engine is running.

When the input voltage drops below the set cut-off value, the compressor will automatically shut down to protect the battery.

Maintenance

Cleaning

  • Always unplug the refrigerator before cleaning.
  • Clean the interior and exterior with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Ensure the ventilation openings are free of dust and debris. Use a soft brush or vacuum cleaner to clean them periodically.
  • Do not rinse with water or immerse the appliance in water.
  • Dry thoroughly before reconnecting power.

Defrosting

Frost may accumulate on the interior cooling surfaces, especially in humid environments. Defrost the unit when the frost layer is approximately 0.2 inches (5mm) thick.

  1. Turn off the refrigerator and unplug it.
  2. Remove all contents.
  3. Leave the lid open to allow the frost to melt naturally. You can place a towel inside to absorb water.
  4. Do not use sharp objects or heating devices to remove frost.
  5. Once defrosted, wipe the interior dry before restarting.

Storage

If storing the refrigerator for an extended period:

  • Ensure it is clean and dry.
  • Leave the lid slightly ajar to prevent odors and mold growth.
  • Store in a dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.

Troubleshooting

Before contacting customer support, please refer to the following common issues and solutions:

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Refrigerator not turning on.No power supply; loose connection; blown fuse in vehicle.Check power cord connection; ensure outlet/cigarette lighter is working; check vehicle fuse.
Not cooling sufficiently.Temperature setting too high; poor ventilation; excessive contents; door not sealed properly.Lower temperature setting; ensure adequate space around unit; do not overfill; check door seal.
Display error code.Low voltage; sensor fault; compressor issue.Check input voltage; restart unit; if error persists, contact customer support.
Excessive noise.Unit not level; fan obstruction; normal compressor operation.Ensure unit is on a flat surface; clear fan area; note that some compressor noise is normal.
