Setup
1. Battery Installation
The clock requires a total of four (4) AA batteries (not included): one (1) AA battery for the clock movement and three (3) AA batteries for the smart night light function. Ensure correct polarity (+/-) when inserting batteries.

2. Initial Time Synchronization
After battery installation, the clock will automatically attempt to synchronize with the WWVB atomic time signal. This process may take several minutes to several hours, depending on your location and signal strength. For optimal reception, place the clock near a window and away from electronic devices that may cause interference.

Operating Instructions
1. Atomic Time Synchronization (WWVB)
The clock is designed to automatically receive the WWVB radio signal from Fort Collins, Colorado, ensuring precise timekeeping. The clock will attempt to synchronize daily, typically overnight, to adjust for any discrepancies and Daylight Saving Time (DST) changes.
2. Silent Movement
The clock features an updated quartz movement with a sweep second hand, providing a completely silent operation. This eliminates ticking noises, making it suitable for bedrooms, offices, or any quiet environment.

3. Smart Night Light Feature
The integrated smart night light automatically illuminates the clock face in dark conditions. This feature is powered by three (3) AA batteries and can be adjusted to different brightness levels (Off, Low, High) using a switch located in the battery compartment on the back of the clock.

4. Time Zone Selection
A time zone switch is located on the back of the clock, allowing you to select your local time zone (PST, MST, CST, EST). Ensure this is set correctly for accurate time display after synchronization.
Maintenance
1. Cleaning
Wipe the clock face and frame with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these may damage the finish or display.
2. Battery Replacement
Replace all batteries annually or when the clock's performance diminishes (e.g., hands stop moving, night light dims significantly). Always replace all batteries at once with fresh, high-quality AA batteries.
Troubleshooting
1. Clock Not Synchronizing
- Ensure the clock is placed near a window and away from potential interference sources (e.g., TVs, computers, large metal objects).
- Verify the time zone switch on the back is set correctly for your region.
- Allow up to 24 hours for initial synchronization, especially in areas with weaker signals.
2. Incorrect Time Display
- Check if the time zone is correctly selected.
- If the clock has not synchronized, try manually initiating a signal search (refer to the physical manual for specific button instructions).
- Replace batteries if they are old or low on power.
3. Night Light Not Working
- Ensure the three (3) AA batteries for the night light are correctly installed and fresh.
- Check the brightness adjustment switch on the back of the clock; it may be set to 'Off'.
