3. Setup
- Unpack Components: Carefully remove all items from the packaging.
- Assemble Stand: Place the soldering iron stand on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- Prepare Cleaning Sponge: Dampen the cleaning sponge slightly with water. Ensure it is not dripping wet.
- Attach Soldering Tip: Ensure the soldering iron is unplugged and cool. Unscrew the metal nut near the tip. Select the desired soldering tip and insert it fully into the heating element. Secure it by tightening the metal nut.
- Connect Power: Plug the soldering iron into a standard electrical outlet. The LCD display will show 'OFF' or the last set temperature.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Temperature Control
- Power On/Off: Press the power button (usually the 'O' button) to turn the soldering iron on. Press and hold to turn off.
- Adjust Temperature: Use the '+' and '-' buttons to adjust the temperature between 200°C and 500°C (392°F and 932°F). The LCD display shows the current temperature.
- Fast Heating: The ceramic heating element allows for rapid heating, reaching desired temperatures in approximately 10 seconds.
- Thermostatic Design: The intelligent temperature control system automatically compensates for temperature fluctuations, maintaining a stable temperature during operation.
- Temperature Locking: Press the 'O' button briefly while the iron is on to lock the current temperature. Press again to unlock.
- Temperature Compensation: If there are discrepancies in temperature readings, refer to the user manual for specific instructions on manual temperature compensation.
- °C/°F Conversion: The digital display allows for easy switching between Celsius and Fahrenheit units. Refer to the user manual for the specific button combination to toggle units.
4.2 Soldering Process
- Pre-tinning the Tip: Before first use or after cleaning, apply a small amount of solder to the heated tip. This helps protect the tip and improves heat transfer.
- Prepare Workpiece: Ensure the components to be soldered are clean and free of oxidation. Apply a small amount of flux paste if necessary.
- Apply Heat: Touch the heated soldering iron tip to both the component lead and the solder pad simultaneously.
- Apply Solder: Once the joint is hot enough, touch the solder wire to the heated joint (not directly to the iron tip). The solder should melt and flow smoothly, creating a shiny, conical joint.
- Remove Iron and Solder: Remove the solder wire first, then the soldering iron. Allow the joint to cool naturally without disturbance.
4.3 Safety Tips
- Always work in a well-ventilated area to avoid inhaling solder fumes.
- Use a soldering iron stand to safely rest the hot iron when not in use.
- Avoid direct contact with the heated tip or metal parts of the iron to prevent burns.
- Ensure the soldering iron is within a safe operating temperature range and check its overall condition before use.
- Keep out of reach of children.

5. Maintenance
- Tip Cleaning: Regularly clean the soldering tip using the damp cleaning sponge. For stubborn oxidation, use the provided flux paste or a brass wire cleaner (not included) to gently remove residue. Avoid using abrasive materials like sandpaper, as this can damage the tip.
- Automatic Sleep Function: The soldering iron features an automatic sleep function that activates when not in use, conserving energy and ensuring safety.
- Storage: When not in use, ensure the soldering iron is unplugged and completely cooled. Store it in a dry, safe place, ideally with the protective cap on the tip.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the power cord, plug, and the iron's body for any signs of damage. Ensure all screws are tightened. Do not use if any damage is observed.

6. Troubleshooting
- Difficulty Heating Up/Maintaining Temperature: If the soldering iron tip is severely oxidized, heat transfer will be poor, causing the iron to fail to heat up or melt solder. This can be caused by:
- Non-normal high temperature (>470°C) of the soldering.
- Keeping the power on when the soldering iron has not been used.
- Not coating the tip with tin to protect the surface after soldering.
- The choice of flux having a high degree of corrosion.
- Using Sandpaper to Clean Tip: Do not use sandpaper or hard objects to clean the oxide on the tip, as this will cause damage. Follow the cleaning procedure above.
- First-Time Use Considerations: Check the heating of the soldering iron tip. When its temperature can just melt the tin wire, plate a layer of tin on the tip part of the iron, and then raise the temperature to the desired temperature. The surface of the soldering iron should always have a layer of tin attached to it for optimal soldering function.
