4.4 Connecting Hoses
- Connect a standard 3/4" garden hose to the pump's inlet. Ensure a tight connection to prevent leaks.
- Connect your pressure washer hose to the 3/8" quick connect outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Once the pump is installed and hoses are connected, you can begin operation.
5.1 Pressure Adjustment
This pump features an adjustable unloader, allowing you to fine-tune the pressure output. Turn the unloader clockwise for increased pressure and counter-clockwise to reduce pressure. The final working pressure (PSI) depends on the output/horsepower of your gas engine and the nozzle used.

5.2 General Operation Tips
- Always ensure a steady supply of cold water to the pump before starting the engine. Running the pump dry can cause severe damage.
- Use appropriate nozzles for the cleaning task. Different nozzles provide varying spray patterns and pressures.
- When not actively spraying, release the trigger to allow the unloader to bypass water, reducing strain on the pump and engine.
- This pump is suitable for residential and light commercial pressure washing tasks such as cleaning driveways, decks, fences, sidewalks, and vehicles.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your pressure washer pump.
6.1 Oil Level Check and Replacement
- The pump comes with pre-filled oil. Before first use, check the oil level at the oil sight glass.
- The oil needs to be replaced every 50-60 hours of running time. Use 15W-40 oil.
- The sight glass helps you easily monitor the oil level and detect if water has clouded the oil, indicating a potential issue.
6.2 Storage
- Before storing, especially in freezing temperatures, ensure all water is drained from the pump and hoses to prevent damage.
- Store the pump in a dry, protected area.
7. Troubleshooting
This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your pressure washer pump.
7.1 Low Pressure Output
- Check Water Supply: Ensure the garden hose is fully open and providing adequate water flow.
- Inspect Nozzle: A clogged or worn nozzle can reduce pressure. Clean or replace as needed.
- Adjust Unloader: Turn the unloader clockwise to increase pressure.
- Air in System: Run water through the pump with the engine off and trigger open to purge air before starting.
7.2 Water Leaks
- Check Connections: Ensure all hose connections are tight and properly sealed.
- Inspect O-Rings: Worn or damaged O-rings in quick connects or hose fittings can cause leaks. Replace if necessary.
7.3 Pump Not Engaging
- Engine Running: Confirm the gas engine is running correctly.
- Shaft Key: Ensure the shaft key is properly seated and the pump is fully engaged with the engine shaft.
