Setup and Installation

The MEIKEE Solar Light is designed for easy installation without the need for complex wiring. Follow these steps for optimal performance:

  1. Choose a Location: Select a location for the solar panel that receives direct sunlight for at least 6-8 hours daily. The light unit can be installed in a desired area, even if it's shaded, thanks to the 5-meter connecting cable.
  2. Mount the Solar Panel: Use the provided screws and anchors to securely mount the solar panel to a wall or other stable surface. Ensure it is angled to maximize sun exposure.
  3. Mount the Light Unit: Install the light unit in your desired location (e.g., entrance, garage, garden, balcony) using the appropriate mounting hardware. The adjustable LED panels allow you to direct light as needed.
  4. Connect the Cables: Connect the cable from the solar panel to the light unit. Ensure the connection is secure and waterproof.
  5. Initial Charge: Allow the solar light to charge for a full day in direct sunlight before first use to ensure the battery is adequately charged. Alternatively, use the Type-C charging port for a quicker initial charge (3-4 hours).

Operating Instructions

The MEIKEE Solar Light can be operated using the included remote control. Ensure the remote control has working batteries.

Lighting Modes:

The light offers 5 intelligent lighting modes, selectable via the remote control:

  • Mode 1 (Night Human Sensor Mode): At night, the light turns on at 100% brightness when motion is detected. It turns off approximately 30 seconds after motion ceases.
  • Mode 2 (DIM Mode): At night, the light stays on at low brightness. When motion is detected, it brightens to 100% and returns to low brightness approximately 30 seconds after motion ceases.
  • Mode 3 (24-Hour Human Sensor Mode): The light turns on at 100% brightness when motion is detected, both day and night. It turns off approximately 30 seconds after motion ceases.
  • Mode 4 (2-Hour Forced Lighting Mode): The light stays on continuously at 85% brightness for 2 hours, regardless of motion or ambient light.
  • Mode 5 (Always-On Mode / Darkness Sensor Mode): At night, the light stays on continuously at low brightness. It automatically turns off during the day or in bright conditions.

Color Temperature and Dimming:

Use the remote control to adjust the light's color temperature and brightness:

  • Color Temperature Selection: Press the dedicated buttons on the remote to switch between Warm White (2700K), Neutral White (4000K), and Daylight White (6500K).
  • Stepless Dimming: Use the brightness adjustment buttons on the remote for fine-tuning the light intensity from 2700K to 6500K.

Timer Function:

The light features a timer function to automatically turn off after a set period, helping to conserve energy:

  • Select 2H, 3H, or 4H on the remote control to set the light to turn off automatically after 2, 3, or 4 hours, respectively.

Charging the Light

Your MEIKEE Solar Light supports two charging methods:

  • Solar Charging: The primary charging method. Ensure the solar panel is placed in an area that receives ample direct sunlight. A full charge typically takes about 8 hours of direct sun exposure. Charging efficiency may vary depending on weather conditions.
  • Type-C Charging: For faster charging or during periods of low sunlight, you can use a Type-C cable to charge the light. A full charge via Type-C typically takes 3-4 hours.

The light unit features an indicator that displays the battery percentage and the currently active lighting mode, allowing you to easily monitor the battery status.

Maintenance

To ensure the long-term performance and efficiency of your MEIKEE Solar Light, follow these simple maintenance guidelines:

  • Clean the Solar Panel: Regularly wipe the surface of the solar panel with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust, dirt, leaves, or snow. A clean panel ensures maximum sunlight absorption and charging efficiency.
  • Clean the Light Unit: Periodically clean the LED panels and sensor lens to ensure optimal light output and motion detection.
  • Check Connections: Occasionally inspect the cable connections between the solar panel and the light unit to ensure they remain secure and free from corrosion.
  • Battery Care: While the light has a built-in battery, avoid prolonged storage in a completely discharged state. If storing for an extended period, ensure the battery is fully charged.

Troubleshooting

ProblemPossible CauseSolution
Light does not turn on at night.Insufficient solar charge. Battery is low.Ensure solar panel receives direct sunlight for 6-8 hours. Clean the solar panel. Charge via Type-C if sunlight is consistently low.
Motion sensor not working.Sensor lens is dirty or obstructed. Light is in an incorrect mode.Clean the sensor lens. Use the remote control to select an appropriate motion sensor mode (Mode 1, 2, or 3).
Light is dim or flickers.Low battery charge.Allow the light to charge fully in direct sunlight or via Type-C.
Remote control not responding.Remote battery is dead. Obstruction between remote and light.Replace remote control batteries. Ensure clear line of sight to the light unit.
Light stays on during the day.Light is in 24-Hour Human Sensor Mode (Mode 3) or 2-Hour Forced Lighting Mode (Mode 4).Switch to a mode that utilizes the darkness sensor (Mode 1, 2, or 5).
