Setup and First Use
Unpacking:
- Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Check for any damage. If any parts are damaged or missing, do not use the product and contact customer support.
- Remove all protective films, stickers, and packaging materials.
Initial Cleaning:
- Before first use, wash the pot and lid (without the handle) thoroughly with warm soapy water.
- The pot is dishwasher safe. The plastic sealing ring and removable lid handle are not dishwasher safe and should be washed by hand.
- Rinse all parts thoroughly and dry them completely.
- Ensure the sealing ring is properly seated in the lid.
- Reattach the lid handle to the lid, ensuring it clicks securely into place.

Operating Instructions
Filling the Pressure Cooker:
- Always add sufficient liquid (water, broth, etc.) to the pot.
- Do not fill the pot more than 2/3 full for most foods.
- For foods that expand (e.g., rice, dried vegetables), do not fill more than 1/2 full.
- The pot has an internal measuring scale for guidance.

Closing the Lid:
- Place the lid onto the pot, aligning the handle with the pot handle.
- Rotate the lid handle clockwise until it locks securely into place. You should hear a click.
- Ensure the lid is fully sealed before applying heat.
Cooking Process:
- Place the pressure cooker on a suitable hob (gas, electric, ceramic, induction). Ensure the hob size matches the pot's base.
- Set the heat to high. The cooking signal on the handle will begin to rise as pressure builds.
- Once the cooking signal reaches the desired level (first ring for gentle, second ring for intensive), reduce the heat to maintain that pressure level.
- Begin timing your cooking from this point.
- The 2-step cooking regulator allows for precise temperature control:
- Gentle Level (110 °C): Ideal for vegetables, fish, and delicate foods.
- Intensive Level (119 °C): Suitable for meat, potatoes, and stews.

Releasing Pressure and Opening:
- Once cooking is complete, turn off the heat.
- Allow the pressure to release naturally, or use the integrated soft steam outlet on the handle for faster release.
- The small pin (residual pressure indicator) on the lid handle must completely disappear before the lid can be opened. This is a safety feature.
- Once the pin has dropped, rotate the lid handle counter-clockwise to unlock and open the lid.

Maintenance and Care
Cleaning:
- Always clean the pressure cooker after each use.
- The stainless steel pot is dishwasher safe.
- The lid handle and sealing ring must be removed and washed by hand with warm soapy water. Do not immerse the lid handle in water for extended periods.
- Ensure all parts, especially the valves and sealing ring, are free from food residue.
- Dry all components thoroughly before reassembly and storage.
Storage:
- Store the pressure cooker in a dry place.
- It is recommended to store the lid inverted on the pot to allow air circulation and prevent odors.
Replacement Parts:
- The sealing ring should be replaced periodically (e.g., every 1-2 years, depending on frequency of use) to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Only use genuine WMF replacement parts. Contact WMF customer support or an authorized dealer for replacement parts.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Pressure not building up. | Lid not properly closed; sealing ring damaged or incorrectly seated; insufficient liquid. | Ensure lid is securely locked. Check sealing ring for damage or proper placement. Add more liquid. |
| Steam escaping from lid edges. | Sealing ring dirty, damaged, or worn; lid not properly closed. | Clean or replace sealing ring. Ensure lid is securely locked. |
| Lid cannot be opened after cooking. | Residual pressure still inside. | Allow more time for pressure to release naturally, or use the quick release function. Do not force open. The residual pressure indicator pin must be fully lowered. |
| Food is undercooked. | Insufficient cooking time; pressure not maintained. | Increase cooking time. Ensure heat is adjusted to maintain desired pressure level throughout cooking. |
