- Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with water or a mild cleaning solution to wipe down the keycaps and chassis.
- Avoid spraying liquids directly onto the keyboard.
- Use compressed air to remove dust and debris from between the keycaps.
Battery Care
The keyboard contains a Lithium Polymer battery. To prolong battery life:
- Charge the keyboard fully before first use.
- Avoid completely draining the battery frequently.
- If storing the keyboard for an extended period, charge it to approximately 50% and store in a cool, dry place.
Troubleshooting
Connectivity Issues
- Keyboard not connecting wirelessly: Ensure the keyboard is powered on and in the correct wireless mode (2.4 GHz RF or Bluetooth). For 2.4 GHz, verify the USB dongle is securely plugged into your computer. For Bluetooth, ensure your device's Bluetooth is enabled and the keyboard is in pairing mode.
- Intermittent connection: Try moving the keyboard closer to your computer or the RF dongle to minimize interference. Ensure other wireless devices are not causing signal disruption.
RGB Lighting Problems
- Lighting not working or incorrect: Check keyboard settings using Fn key combinations. Ensure the keyboard's firmware is up to date.
- Custom settings not persisting: Some lighting settings may require the Cherry Gaming Software to be running in the background or to be re-applied after a power cycle or connection change. Ensure the software is correctly installed and updated.
General Performance
- Keys not responding: Try connecting the keyboard via USB-C cable to rule out wireless issues. Ensure no debris is lodged under the keycaps.
- Software download issues: If experiencing difficulty downloading the Cherry Gaming Software, visit the official Cherry website directly for the latest downloads and support.
