4. Setup and Installation

This medicine cabinet can be installed either recessed into the wall or surface-mounted on the wall. Professional installation is recommended.

4.1 Preparation

1. Turn off the main power supply at the circuit breaker before starting any electrical work.
2. Determine the desired mounting location. Ensure there are no hidden pipes or electrical wires in the wall.
3. Measure and mark the installation area. The cabinet dimensions are approximately 20"W x 30"H x 5.5"D.

4.2 Recessed Installation

For recessed installation, a wall opening is required. The cabinet is designed to protrude approximately 1 inch from the wall for easy opening.

1. Create a wall opening that matches the recessed dimensions of the cabinet. Ensure the opening is structurally sound.
2. Run electrical wiring to the opening, ensuring it is properly secured and ready for connection.
3. Insert the cabinet into the opening. Secure it to the wall studs or blocking using the provided mounting hardware.
4. Connect the electrical wiring (live, neutral, ground) from the wall to the cabinet's terminal block.

4.3 Surface Mount Installation

For surface mounting, the cabinet is mounted directly onto the wall surface.

1. Mark the drilling points on the wall using the cabinet's mounting holes as a template.
2. Drill pilot holes and insert wall anchors if necessary.
3. Secure the mounting bracket (if applicable) or the cabinet directly to the wall using the provided screws.
4. Connect the electrical wiring (live, neutral, ground) from the wall to the cabinet's terminal block.

4.4 Final Steps

1. Once the cabinet is securely mounted and wired, install the glass shelves. The shelves are adjustable in height.

5. Operating Instructions

The ExBrite Lighted Medicine Cabinet features intuitive touch controls on the mirror surface.

5.1 Main Light Control

• Power On/Off: Touch the power icon on the mirror to turn the main LED light on or off.
• Brightness Adjustment (Dimming): When the light is on, press and hold the power icon to steplessly adjust the brightness from 10% to 100%. Release when the desired brightness is reached. The cabinet has a lighting memory function.
• Color Temperature Change: Short press the color temperature icon (often represented by a sun or color spectrum) to cycle through the three available color temperatures: 3000K (Warm), 4000K (Natural), and 6000K (White).

5.2 Anti-Fog Function

• Activate Defog: Touch the defog icon (often represented by steam) on the mirror surface to activate the anti-fog function. The mirror surface will quickly heat to approximately 40°C to clear fog.
• Deactivate Defog: The defog function automatically turns off when the main light is turned off. You can also short press the defog icon again to manually turn it off.

5.3 Clock and Temperature Display

• The digital display on the mirror surface shows the current time and room temperature.

5.4 Interior LED Lighting

• The interior LED lighting automatically illuminates when the cabinet door is opened, providing visibility inside.
