2. Getting Started (Setup)

Charging Your Earbuds and Case

Before first use, fully charge your Beats Studio Buds+ and their charging case. Place the earbuds into the charging case and close the lid. Connect the USB-C to USB-C charging cable to the case and then to a power adapter (not included).

• The LED indicator on the front of the case shows the charging status.
• A full charge provides up to 36 hours of listening time with the case.
• Earbuds alone provide up to 9 hours of listening time.

Finding Your Fit

The Beats Studio Buds+ come with four pairs of silicone eartips (XS, S, M, L) to ensure a comfortable and secure fit. A proper seal is crucial for optimal acoustic performance and effective noise cancellation.

1. Try each eartip size to find the one that creates a comfortable seal in your ear canal.
2. Gently insert the earbud into your ear and twist it back until it feels secure.

Pairing Your Earbuds

Beats Studio Buds+ offer enhanced compatibility with one-touch pairing for both Apple and Android devices.

For Apple Devices:

1. With the earbuds in the charging case, open the case lid and hold your Beats Studio Buds+ near your unlocked iPhone or iPad.
2. A setup animation will appear on your device. Follow the on-screen instructions.

For Android Devices:

1. Ensure your Android device has Bluetooth enabled.
2. With the earbuds in the charging case, open the case lid.
3. Press and hold the system button on the charging case until the LED indicator begins to flash white.
4. On your Android device, go to Bluetooth settings and select "Beats Studio Buds+" from the list of available devices.

Once paired, your earbuds will automatically connect to your device when the case is opened and the earbuds are removed.

3. Operating Your Studio Buds+

On-Device Controls

Each earbud features a multi-function button (the 'b' logo) that allows you to control playback, calls, and listening modes.

• Press once: Play/Pause audio, Answer/End call.
• Press twice: Skip forward.
• Press three times: Skip backward.
• Press and hold: Toggle between Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) and Transparency mode. This action can be customized in your device's Bluetooth settings.

Listening Modes: ANC and Transparency

The Beats Studio Buds+ offer two distinct listening modes:

• Active Noise Cancelling (ANC): Blocks out external noise for an immersive listening experience. Ideal for travel or noisy environments.
• Transparency Mode: Allows you to hear your surroundings while still enjoying your audio. Useful for staying aware of your environment, such as when walking in a city or listening for announcements.

Toggle between these modes by pressing and holding the multi-function button on either earbud.

Making and Receiving Calls

The Studio Buds+ feature 3x larger voice-targeting microphones that precisely filter background noise for crisp, clear call performance.

• Answer/End Call: Press the multi-function button once.
• Decline Call: Press and hold the multi-function button.

Spatial Audio

Beats Studio Buds+ support spatial audio for immersive listening, providing a theater-like experience with dynamic head tracking.

Cleaning Your Earbuds

Water Resistance

The Beats Studio Buds+ are IPX4-rated for sweat and water resistance. This means they are resistant to splashing water from any direction, making them suitable for workouts and light rain.

• Do not submerge the earbuds in water.
• The charging case is not water resistant.
• If the earbuds get wet, dry them thoroughly before placing them back in the charging case to prevent damage.

Common Issues and Solutions

• Earbuds not pairing: Ensure earbuds are charged and in pairing mode (white flashing light). Check your device's Bluetooth settings. Try restarting your device.
• No sound or low volume: Check volume levels on your device and earbuds. Ensure earbuds are properly seated in your ears and the correct eartip size is used for a good seal.
