Setup Instructions
1. Electric Hot Plate (500W)
- Ensure the hot plate is placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface.
- The hot plate operates on 110V (American standard voltage).
- It features 1-5 heat settings. For initial wax melting, setting 3 is recommended to prevent overheating.
- An illuminated power indicator shows when the burner is active. It lights up during heating and turns off when the desired temperature is reached.
- First Use Reminder: A small amount of smoke may be generated during the first use. This is normal and non-toxic, resulting from a protective film on the surface designed to prevent rust.
- Safety Precaution: Do not touch the surface of the heating plate when it is hot. Use the anti-scald pad for handling hot items.

2. Candle Melting Pot (32oz/900ml)
- The pouring pot is made of high-quality 304 stainless steel, offering strong anti-rust, high temperature, and corrosion resistance.
- It has a capacity of 32oz (900ml) for molten wax.
- The design includes a dripless pouring spout for controlled flow and to prevent leakage.
- Note: Do not use on open flames or in a microwave to prevent overheating or burning.

Operating Instructions (Candle Making Process)
Follow these steps to make your own candles:
- Prepare Wax: Place your desired amount of soy wax (or other candle wax) into the 900ml pouring pot.
- Melt Wax: Place the pouring pot onto the Electric Hot Plate. Turn the hot plate on and set it to the third gear. Monitor the wax as it melts.
- Monitor Temperature: Use the digital thermometer to accurately control the wax temperature. Stir the wax occasionally with the provided stirring spoon to ensure even melting.
- Prepare Wicks: While the wax is melting, prepare your candle containers by attaching the wicks to the bottom using wick stickers (not included in this kit, but commonly used). Use wick centering devices or wooden skewers to hold the wicks upright and centered.
- Add Fragrance/Dye (Optional): Once the wax is fully melted and reaches the desired temperature (refer to your wax/fragrance manufacturer's guidelines), remove it from the hot plate. Add any fragrance oils or dyes and stir thoroughly.
- Pour Wax: Carefully pour the melted wax into your prepared candle containers using the pouring pot's spout.
- Cure Candles: Allow the candles to cool and solidify completely at room temperature. This process, known as curing, can take several hours or even days depending on the wax type and container size.

Maintenance
Cleaning the Pouring Pot
- Allow any residual wax in the pot to cool and solidify.
- Once solid, gently scrape out the wax. A wooden or plastic tool is recommended to avoid scratching the stainless steel.
- Wipe the interior with a paper towel to remove any remaining wax residue.
- Wash the pot with warm, soapy water. The stainless steel is easy to clean.
Storing the Electric Hot Plate
- After use, adjust the hot plate switch to '0' (off) and unplug it.
- Allow the hot plate to cool completely before cleaning or storing.
- Wipe the surface with a damp cloth. Do not immerse in water.
- Store in a dry place.
Troubleshooting
- Initial Smoke from Hot Plate: As mentioned in the setup, a small amount of smoke during the first use is normal due to a protective film. It is non-toxic and will dissipate.
- Wax Not Melting Fast Enough: Ensure the hot plate is set to an appropriate heat level (e.g., gear 3). If the wax is still not melting efficiently, you may increase the heat slightly, but avoid setting it too high (e.g., gear 5) for extended periods to prevent the wax from boiling or scorching.
- Hot Plate Not Heating: Check if the hot plate is properly plugged into a 110V outlet and if the power indicator light is on. Ensure the heat setting is not at '0'.
- Inaccurate Thermometer Reading: Ensure the thermometer probe is fully immersed in the wax and allowed sufficient time to stabilize. Check the battery if the display is dim or unresponsive.
