Introduction
This manual provides essential instructions for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your VEVOR Universal Grill Rotisserie Kit. Please read this manual thoroughly before initial use and retain it for future reference.
The VEVOR Universal Grill Rotisserie Kit is designed to convert most gas grills with a firebox width of 32 to 39 inches into an automatic rotisserie system. It features a heavy-duty stainless steel spit rod, robust forks, and a powerful 9W electric motor capable of rotating up to 26 lbs of food at 4 RPM, ensuring even cooking.
Important Safety Instructions
- Always ensure the rotisserie kit is securely installed before placing food on the spit.
- Do not exceed the maximum load capacity of 26 lbs to prevent damage to the motor and spit rod.
- Keep electrical components away from water and extreme heat.
- Ensure proper ventilation when operating the grill and rotisserie.
- Always use heat-resistant gloves when handling hot components.
- Unplug the motor from the power source before cleaning or when not in use.
- Keep children and pets away from the grill during operation.

Setup and Installation
Follow these steps to properly install your rotisserie kit on your grill.
- Install Mounting Brackets: Attach the two mounting brackets to the sides of your grill's firebox. Ensure they are securely fastened and aligned to support the spit rod horizontally. Use appropriate hardware for your grill type.
- Assemble Spit Rod: Connect the spit rod sections if necessary to achieve the desired length for your grill (32 or 39 inches).
- Attach Meat Forks: Slide the meat forks onto the spit rod. Do not tighten them yet, as their position will be adjusted based on the food.
- Mount the Motor: Secure the electric motor onto one of the mounting brackets. Ensure it is firmly attached and the spit rod can easily slide into the motor's drive socket.
- Insert Spit Rod: Slide the assembled spit rod through the food (if already loaded) and into the motor's drive socket on one side, and rest the other end on the opposing mounting bracket.
- Balance the Load: Adjust the position of the meat forks and the counterbalance weight to ensure the food is evenly balanced on the spit rod. This prevents strain on the motor and ensures even cooking.
- Secure Components: Tighten all screws and wing nuts on the meat forks and counterbalance to prevent movement during rotation.
- Connect Power: Plug the motor into a suitable 110V power outlet.

Operating Instructions
Once the rotisserie kit is installed and food is securely loaded and balanced, follow these steps for operation:
- Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to the desired cooking temperature according to your recipe.
- Start Rotation: Turn on the rotisserie motor using the switch. The spit rod will begin to rotate at 4 RPM.
- Monitor Cooking: Monitor the food as it cooks, ensuring even browning and internal temperature. The continuous rotation helps to self-baste the food.
- Remove Food: Once cooked, turn off the motor and unplug it. Carefully remove the spit rod from the grill using heat-resistant gloves.
- Carve and Serve: Remove the food from the spit rod and carve as desired.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Regular cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your rotisserie kit.
- Cleaning Spit Rod and Forks: After each use, allow the spit rod and meat forks to cool. Wash them with warm, soapy water and a non-abrasive sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely to prevent rust.
- Motor Care: The electric motor should be wiped clean with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the motor in water or expose it to excessive moisture.
- Storage: Store all components in a dry place when not in use.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Motor not turning on. | Not plugged in; power switch off; faulty outlet. | Check power connection; ensure switch is ON; test outlet with another device. |
| Spit rod not rotating. | Food is too heavy or unbalanced; spit rod not properly seated in motor. | Reduce food weight (max 26 lbs); re-balance food; ensure spit rod is fully engaged with motor drive. |
| Uneven cooking. | Food is unbalanced; grill temperature is inconsistent. | Adjust counterbalance and meat forks for even weight distribution; check grill burners for consistent heat. |
