Maintenance

Cleaning

To clean your controller, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials, as these can damage the controller's finish.

Storage

Store the controller in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Protect it from dust and physical impact when not in use.

Battery Care

  • Avoid fully discharging the battery frequently.
  • If storing for an extended period, charge the battery to approximately 50% to prolong its lifespan.
  • Use only the provided charging cable or a certified equivalent.

Troubleshooting

Controller Does Not Pair or Disconnects

  • Ensure the controller is fully charged. Low battery can cause connection instability.
  • Verify that the device you are trying to connect to (Switch, PC, Android, iOS) has Bluetooth enabled and is in pairing mode.
  • Try resetting the controller by pressing a small reset button (if available, usually a pinhole) or by holding specific button combinations (refer to GuliKit's official support).
  • Remove the controller from your device's Bluetooth list and attempt to pair again.
  • If connecting to PC, try a different USB port or ensure Bluetooth drivers are up to date.
  • Some users have reported issues with wireless connection after initial wired use; ensure the controller is properly disconnected from wired mode before attempting wireless pairing.

Buttons or Joysticks Not Responding

  • Check for physical obstructions around the buttons or joysticks.
  • Ensure the controller's firmware is up to date. Visit the official GuliKit website for firmware update tools and instructions.
  • Perform a button test on your console or PC to diagnose specific unresponsive inputs.
  • If a specific button, like a bumper, feels unresponsive or doesn't click, it may indicate a hardware issue.

Settings Are Not Saved

  • If settings like gyro calibration or dead zones are not saving, ensure you are following the correct procedure for saving configurations.
  • Firmware updates often address such issues. Check for the latest firmware.

General Connectivity Issues

  • Reduce interference by moving closer to the host device or moving away from other wireless devices.
  • Restart both the controller and the host device.
