Maintenance

Regular maintenance is crucial for the longevity and optimal performance of your generator.

1. VFT Data Center

The VFT Data Center on the control panel displays real-time performance information, including voltage, frequency, and lifetime run hours. Monitor these readings to stay informed about regular maintenance schedules.

2. Oil Changes

Refer to the owner's manual for the recommended oil change intervals. Regularly check the oil level and change it as specified to ensure engine health.

3. Air Filter and Spark Plug

Inspect and clean or replace the air filter and spark plug according to the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual. These components are vital for efficient engine operation.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your generator, consult the following common troubleshooting tips.

1. Engine Not Starting

  • Check fuel level and ensure the fuel valve is in the 'ON' position.
  • Verify the battery is connected and charged.
  • Ensure the engine switch is in the 'ON' position.
  • Check the spark plug for proper connection and condition.

2. No Power Output

  • Check all circuit breakers on the control panel; reset if tripped.
  • Ensure all connected devices are functioning correctly.
  • Verify the generator is running at the correct RPM and voltage using the VFT meter.

3. CO Sensor Activation

The Carbon Monoxide (CO) sensor adds safety by monitoring the air near the generator. If the CO sensor activates, the generator will automatically shut down. Move the generator to an open, well-ventilated area immediately. Do not operate the generator indoors or in enclosed spaces.
