Setup
1. Unboxing and Package Contents
Carefully unpack your Instax Mini 12 camera and verify that all components are present.

2. Battery Installation
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the side of the camera.
- Slide the cover open.
- Insert two AA-size alkaline batteries (LR6) according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the compartment.
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
3. Film Pack Installation
Use only Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film. Each pack contains 10 exposures.
- Open the film compartment cover on the back of the camera.
- Align the yellow mark on the film pack with the yellow mark on the camera's film compartment.
- Gently insert the film pack straight into the compartment. Do not press down on the film pack.
- Close the film compartment cover. The camera will automatically eject the black film cover sheet. Do not open the film compartment until all 10 photos have been taken.

Operating Instructions
1. Turning the Camera On and Off
- To turn the camera ON, twist the lens barrel clockwise until it clicks into the standard shooting position.
- To turn the camera OFF, twist the lens barrel counter-clockwise until it clicks into the closed position.
2. Taking a Photo
The Instax Mini 12 features automatic exposure and flash control, simplifying the photo-taking process.
- Turn the camera on by twisting the lens barrel.
- Hold the camera steady and frame your shot using the viewfinder.
- Press the shutter button firmly. The photo will automatically eject from the top of the camera.
- Allow the photo to develop naturally. Do not shake or bend the print.

3. Using Close-up Mode and Selfie Mirror
For subjects between 0.3m and 0.5m, use Close-up mode. This mode also activates the selfie mirror for easy self-portraits.
- With the camera on, twist the lens barrel further clockwise until it clicks into the Close-up mode position.
- When taking a selfie, use the small mirror located next to the lens to compose your shot.
- The camera's parallax correction feature adjusts the viewfinder to align with the lens for accurate framing in Close-up mode.
- Press the shutter button to take the photo.

Maintenance
1. Cleaning the Camera
- Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the camera body.
- For the lens and viewfinder, use a lens cleaning cloth specifically designed for optical surfaces. Avoid using abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.
- Do not allow water or other liquids to enter the camera.
2. Storing the Camera
- Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and high humidity.

- If the film compartment was opened after the black cover sheet was ejected, the remaining film may be light-exposed and unusable. - Photos are too dark/light:
- The Instax Mini 12 has automatic exposure. Ensure the flash is not obstructed.
- Avoid shooting in extremely dark or bright conditions that exceed the camera's capabilities. - Photos are blurry:
- Hold the camera steady when pressing the shutter button.
- Ensure the subject is within the recommended shooting range (0.5m to infinity for standard, 0.3m to 0.5m for Close-up mode).
- Make sure the lens is clean.
