3. Setup
3.1 Butane Refilling
- Ensure the device is completely cool and the gas flow is turned off.

- Press the canister firmly into the charging port for approximately 5-10 seconds. You may observe a slight overflow, which is normal.
- Repeat the process 2-3 times to ensure a full refill.
- After refilling, wait at least 5 minutes before ignition to allow the gas to stabilize and reach room temperature.
3.2 Attaching/Replacing Soldering Tip
- Ensure the device is cool and turned off.
- Unscrew the head knob to remove the existing soldering tip or to attach a new one.
- Carefully insert the desired soldering tip into the heat sink assembly.
- Screw the head knob back on securely, but do not overtighten.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Ignition
- Ensure the butane tank is adequately filled.
- Slowly turn the valve regulating valve (often labeled ON/OFF) to the 'ON' position or open it slightly to allow gas flow. You may hear a faint hissing sound.
- Use an external ignition source (e.g., a lighter or spark igniter) to ignite the gas at the tip. Hold the ignition source near the tip until a flame appears.
- Adjust the flame intensity using the valve regulating valve.
4.2 Using as a Soldering Iron

- After ignition, allow the soldering tip to heat up for approximately 30-60 seconds. The stainless steel tip heats quickly.
- Touch the hot soldering tip to the components or wires you wish to solder.
- Apply solder to the heated joint, allowing it to flow smoothly.
- Remove the solder and then the soldering iron from the joint.
4.3 Turning Off
To turn off the device, simply turn the valve regulating valve to the 'OFF' position or fully close it. The flame will extinguish. Allow the device to cool down completely before storing.

- Cleaning the Soldering Tip: Regularly clean the soldering tip with a damp sponge or brass wool to remove oxidation and solder residue. This ensures efficient heat transfer.
- Storage: Store the device in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure the protective cap is on the tip when stored.
- Gas Leak Check: Periodically check for gas leaks by applying a small amount of soapy water to the connections. If bubbles appear, there is a leak. Do not use the device if a leak is detected.
- Tip Replacement: Replace soldering tips when they become worn or damaged to maintain optimal performance.
