5. Setup and Installation
Follow these steps for a safe and proper installation:
5.1 Pre-Installation
- Turn off Power: Locate the circuit breaker controlling the area where you will install the lights and turn off the power. Verify that the power is off using a voltage tester.
- Prepare Tools: Gather necessary tools: measuring tape, pencil, drywall saw or hole saw, wire strippers, screwdriver, and safety glasses.
5.2 Cut Hole in Ceiling
- Mark Hole: Use the provided 1:1 hole template or measure a 6.25-inch (approximately 15.9 cm) diameter hole. Mark the desired location on the ceiling.
- Cut Hole: Carefully cut the marked hole in the ceiling using a drywall saw or hole saw. Ensure the hole is clean and free of debris.

5.3 Wiring the Junction Box
- Open Junction Box: Open the cover of the junction box attached to the light fixture.
- Connect Wires: Connect the household electrical wires to the corresponding wires inside the junction box using wire nuts (not included, typically supplied with household wiring). Connect the black wire (live) to the black wire, the white wire (neutral) to the white wire, and the ground wire to the ground wire.
- Secure Connections: Ensure all connections are secure and properly insulated. Close the junction box cover.

5.4 Select Color Temperature (CCT)
- Adjust Switch: Before pushing the light into the ceiling, locate the 5CCT selectable switch on the side of the junction box.
- Choose CCT: Slide the switch to select your desired color temperature: 2700K (Warm White), 3000K (Soft White), 3500K (Neutral White), 4000K (Cool White), or 5000K (Daylight).
