5. Troubleshooting
- No Power / Unit Not Turning On:
- Ensure the 12V AC plug is fully and securely inserted into the automotive power outlet.
- Check your vehicle's fuse box. Some 12V outlets are on a 10 Amp fuse, which may blow if the vacuum draws too much power. Consider using an outlet with a higher amperage fuse (e.g., 30 Amp) if available, or consult your vehicle's manual for power outlet specifications.
- Verify the ON/OFF switch is in the "ON" position.
- Weak Suction:
- Check if the dust cup is full and needs emptying.
- Inspect the filter for excessive dirt or blockage. Clean the filter as described in the Maintenance section.
- Ensure all attachments and the dust cup are securely connected to the main unit, with no gaps that could cause air leaks.
- Check the nozzle and hose for any blockages. Carefully remove any obstructions.
- Unit Overheating:
- If the unit feels hot, turn it off immediately and disconnect it from the power source.
- Allow the unit to cool down for at least 15-20 minutes before resuming use.
- Ensure the vents on the vacuum body are not obstructed, as this can impede airflow and cause overheating.
