Setup and Installation

The Evenflo Easy Walk-Thru Clear Gate is designed for pressure-mount installation in doorways. Follow these steps for a secure setup:

Step 1: Unpack and Prepare

Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts listed in the "Included Components" section are present. Do not remove the zip tie near the top handle until instructed, as it helps with alignment during installation.

Step 2: Determine Width and Add Extension (if needed)

Measure your doorway opening. The gate fits standard openings from 30 in. to 32.5 in. (76 cm to 82.5 cm). For wider openings measuring 35 in. to 37.5 in. (89 cm to 95 cm), attach the included extension piece to either side of the main gate frame.

Step 3: Install Pressure-Mount Spindles

Insert the four pressure-mount spindles into the corners of the gate frame. Place the gate in the desired doorway opening. Twist the spindles to extend them until they make firm contact with the door frame. Continue twisting to tighten the gate into place. The Red Safety Lock Indicator should show that the gate is securely closed once properly tightened.

Operating Instructions

Opening the Gate:

To open the gate, slide the handle back and then lift the gate slightly. This two-step action is designed to prevent accidental opening by children. The gate will then swing open in either direction, allowing for convenient passage through high-traffic areas.

Closing and Securing the Gate:

Simply push the gate door closed until it latches automatically. Verify that the Red Safety Lock Indicator is visible, confirming the gate is securely closed. This indicator provides a quick visual check for peace of mind.

Care and Maintenance

To ensure the longevity and cleanliness of your Evenflo Easy Walk-Thru Clear Gate, follow these cleaning instructions:

• Wash the gate with mild soap and warm water.
• Dry thoroughly before re-using.
• Metal and plastic parts can be wiped clean with a soft, damp cloth and dried with a soft cloth.
• DO NOT use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as these can damage the gate's finish and clear panel.

• Gate not closing securely: Ensure the pressure-mount spindles are tightened sufficiently. The Red Safety Lock Indicator should be visible when properly closed.

• Difficulty opening the gate: Ensure you are sliding the handle back and lifting simultaneously. This is a safety feature to prevent children from opening it.
