5.3 Pairing the Add-On Camera with Your MaxView Parent Unit
Your Babysense MaxView system supports up to four cameras. To add this new camera to your existing MaxView Parent Unit, follow these steps:
- Ensure your MaxView Parent Unit is turned on and fully charged.
- Power on the new add-on camera unit as described in Section 5.1.
- On your MaxView Parent Unit, navigate to the Menu.
- Select the Camera icon or option.
- Choose an available camera slot (e.g., Camera 2, Camera 3, or Camera 4) and select the Add Camera or Pair option.
- The Parent Unit will begin searching for the new camera. Within approximately 10-20 seconds, press and hold the Pair button (usually located on the bottom or back of the camera unit) for a few seconds until the Parent Unit confirms successful pairing.
- Once paired, the image from the new camera will appear on your Parent Unit screen.
Refer to your main Babysense MaxView Video Baby Monitor user manual for specific instructions on navigating the Parent Unit menu and pairing additional cameras.
6. Operating the Add-On Camera
Once paired, the add-on camera operates in conjunction with your MaxView Parent Unit. All controls for camera functions are managed through the Parent Unit.
6.1 Switching Between Cameras
If you have multiple cameras paired, you can switch between them on your Parent Unit. Typically, this is done via a dedicated camera switch button or through the menu system. Some monitors may also offer a scan mode to cycle through all paired cameras automatically.
6.2 Remote Pan, Tilt, and Zoom
Use the directional controls on your MaxView Parent Unit to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle:
- Pan: Move the camera horizontally (left and right).
- Tilt: Move the camera vertically (up and down).
- Digital Zoom: Activate the zoom function on the Parent Unit to magnify the image (x2 and x4 zoom ratios are available).
6.3 Night Vision
The camera is equipped with automatic infrared night vision. In low-light conditions, the camera will automatically switch to night vision mode, providing a clear black and white image of the monitored area.
6.4 Two-Way Talk-Back Audio
To speak through the camera unit, press and hold the talk button on your MaxView Parent Unit. Release the button to listen.
6.5 RGB Night Light and Lullabies
If your MaxView Parent Unit supports these features, you can remotely control the RGB night light and play lullabies through the add-on camera. Refer to your Parent Unit's manual for specific controls.
