This manual provides essential instructions for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your Babysense MaxView Add-On Camera. It is important to note that this add-on camera is compatible only with the Babysense MaxView Monitor and is not suitable for any other model.

4. Product Overview

The Babysense MaxView Add-On Camera features a motorized pan and tilt function, digital zoom, night vision, and an RGB night light. It is designed for indoor use and can be placed on a tabletop or mounted on a wall.

5. Setup

5.1 Powering the Camera Unit

  1. Connect the small plug of the AC power adapter to the power input port on the back of the camera unit.
  2. Plug the other end of the AC power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
  3. The camera unit will power on automatically.

5.2 Positioning the Camera Unit

The camera unit can be placed on a flat surface (tabletop) or mounted on a wall.

Important: Always ensure the power cord is secured and kept out of reach of children to prevent strangulation hazards.

5.3 Pairing the Add-On Camera with Your MaxView Parent Unit

Your Babysense MaxView system supports up to four cameras. To add this new camera to your existing MaxView Parent Unit, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure your MaxView Parent Unit is turned on and fully charged.
  2. Power on the new add-on camera unit as described in Section 5.1.
  3. On your MaxView Parent Unit, navigate to the Menu.
  4. Select the Camera icon or option.
  5. Choose an available camera slot (e.g., Camera 2, Camera 3, or Camera 4) and select the Add Camera or Pair option.
  6. The Parent Unit will begin searching for the new camera. Within approximately 10-20 seconds, press and hold the Pair button (usually located on the bottom or back of the camera unit) for a few seconds until the Parent Unit confirms successful pairing.
  7. Once paired, the image from the new camera will appear on your Parent Unit screen.

6. Operating the Add-On Camera

Once paired, the add-on camera operates in conjunction with your MaxView Parent Unit. All controls for camera functions are managed through the Parent Unit.

6.1 Switching Between Cameras

If you have multiple cameras paired, you can switch between them on your Parent Unit. Typically, this is done via a dedicated camera switch button or through the menu system. Some monitors may also offer a scan mode to cycle through all paired cameras automatically.

6.2 Remote Pan, Tilt, and Zoom

Use the directional controls on your MaxView Parent Unit to remotely adjust the camera's viewing angle:

The camera is equipped with automatic infrared night vision. In low-light conditions, the camera will automatically switch to night vision mode, providing a clear black and white image of the monitored area.

6.4 Two-Way Talk-Back Audio

To speak through the camera unit, press and hold the talk button on your MaxView Parent Unit. Release the button to listen.

6.5 RGB Night Light and Lullabies

If your MaxView Parent Unit supports these features, you can remotely control the RGB night light and play lullabies through the add-on camera. Refer to your Parent Unit's manual for specific controls.
