1. Introduction

This loft bed features a sturdy pine wood frame, integrated storage boxes, shelves, and a unique climbing frame design. It is designed to provide a functional and space-saving sleeping solution.

2. Safety Information

• Always follow assembly instructions precisely. Incorrect assembly can lead to instability and injury.
• Ensure all bolts and connectors are securely tightened before use and check periodically.
• Do not allow children under 6 years of age on the upper bunk.
• Use only a mattress that meets the recommended thickness of 6 inches to ensure proper guardrail height.
• The maximum weight capacity for this loft bed is 175 LBS. Do not exceed this limit.
• Prohibit horseplay on or under the bed.
• Always use the climbing frame for access to the bed. Do not use other furniture or objects to climb onto the bed.
• Keep all small parts out of reach of children during assembly.

4. Setup and Assembly Instructions

Partial assembly is required for this loft bed. It is recommended that two people assemble the bed to ensure safety and efficiency. Estimated assembly time is approximately 30 minutes. A screwdriver is included for assembly. Do not use power tools as they may overtighten screws and damage the wood.

1. Unpack all components and lay them out on a clean, soft surface to prevent scratches.
2. Identify all parts using the provided parts list (refer to the separate assembly guide for detailed diagrams).
3. Begin by assembling the main bed frame structure, ensuring all connections are finger-tight before final tightening.
4. Attach the climbing frame and guardrails securely to the bed frame.
5. Install the bed slats evenly across the bed frame.
6. Assemble the two storage boxes and attach their casters. Position them beneath the bed as desired.
7. Once fully assembled, ensure all bolts and screws are tightened. Do not overtighten.

5. Operating Instructions (Usage)

• Sleeping Area: Place a twin-size mattress (recommended thickness 6 inches) on the bed slats. Ensure the mattress fits snugly within the frame.
• Climbing Frame: Use the integrated climbing frame to safely access the upper bunk. The climbing rope can be used for additional physical activity.
• Chalkboards: The three sides of the loft bed are equipped with double-sided chalkboards. Use standard chalk to draw or write. A chalk slot is provided for convenience.
• Storage Boxes: Utilize the two included storage boxes for organizing toys, books, or other items. The casters allow for easy movement, and they can be locked in place beneath the bed.
• Slide: The bed includes a slide for exiting the bed. Ensure the area around the slide is clear before use. The smooth MDF surface provides a safe sliding experience.

6. Maintenance

• Cleaning: Wipe the wood surfaces with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. For chalkboards, use a damp cloth or chalkboard eraser.
• Hardware Check: Periodically check all bolts, screws, and connectors to ensure they remain tight. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability.
• Wood Care: Protect the wood from direct sunlight and extreme temperature changes to prevent warping or fading.

7. Troubleshooting

• Bed feels wobbly: Ensure all assembly hardware is securely tightened. Check that the bed is placed on a level surface.
• Drawers not sliding smoothly: Check for any obstructions in the drawer glides. Ensure the casters on the storage boxes are clean and free of debris.
• Squeaking noises: Identify the source of the squeak. Often, retightening bolts or applying a small amount of lubricant to metal-on-metal contact points can resolve this.
